A dissected igneous rock (syenite) massif, its highest point is Foia (2,960 ft [902 m]). The range is famous for its wild and generally varied plant life, as well as for its spas with medicinal waters (Caldas de Monchique). The area is known for its production of honey and medronho (arbutus brandy). It is a fresh air haven where you can relax and wander in peace.

Balloon flights require you standing and being able to walk out of a field. We will however endeavour to assist should this be required. You must not fly if you are suffering from any serious medical condition or have recently undergone surgery unless you have a certificate of fitness to fly from your doctor.
• You must not fly if you are pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• For operational purposes there will a surcharge for passengers whose weight exceeds 100kg, if you think this may be the case please call us.
