The journey by taxi to Humantay Lagoon starts with a pickup from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco. From there, the trip continues for 2.5 hours to the village of Mollepata, where you can enjoy breakfast and purchase water and snacks.

Following this stop, the journey proceeds by car for an additional hour to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike to Humantay Lagoon. The hike takes about 2 hours, offering views of snowy peaks like Salkantay and Humantay, as well as streams, llamas, and a variety of native medicinal plants.
