Unforgettable experience - We had an amazing experience with Navy as our desert tour guide! We initially came for camel rides but were thrilled when Navy offered a complimentary safari desert tour with sandboarding. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and professionalism made the tour unforgettable. The camel rides were serene, the safari was exhilarating, and sandboarding was an absolute blast. Navy’s dedication and passion for the desert truly shone through. Highly recommend! Available from 2:30 PM to 9:30 PM, this experience takes you on a journey through the desert, where you’ll have the opportunity to ride camels, try sandboarding, and enjoy a thrilling quad bike ride.

The highlight of the afternoon is the visit to a Bedouin-style camp, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and dates. Here, you can relax in the Majlis seating and enjoy a variety of activities, including henna painting and shisha smoking. As the sun sets, the camp comes alive with the sounds of traditional music and dance. The belly dancing, fire show, and Tanoura dance are a feast for the senses, providing a glimpse into the vibrant culture of the region.

Desert safari was good - We had a good day on the desert safari on the whole. The highlight was the dune bashing and quad bike ride. The only issue was with the quad bike as we were told that we could both go on together or if we wanted to go on separate quad bikes we would have to take it in turns which I didn’t understand as there were plenty of quad bikes and plenty of space to ride them. But I didn’t bother with getting an explanation so went on together with my husband. The food and entertainment were OK. Our guide for the day, Ahmad, however, was good. He was helpful and engaged with the whole group. He took time to take our pictures in the desert which he did for the whole group so no one felt left out. (Reviewed on 2024-09-30)
