Lahore City Tour

Lahore Fort - Our visit will include the Armour Museum, Mughal Art Gallery, General Public Hall, Private Hall, Mirror Palace, Moti Mosque, and the Pictured Wall, among other attractions.

Hazuri Bagh - We will explore Hazuri Garden, established by the Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1818 A.D., who reigned from 1799 to 1839 A.D. Additionally, we’ll see the Light Gate and the 12th gate of Old Lahore city.

Badshahi Mosque - We will visit the Badshahi Mosque, constructed by the 6th Mughal emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1673/74 A.D. This stunning mosque, primarily built with red sandstone, is a testament to Mughal architectural brilliance.

Tomb of Muhammad Iqbal - This is the resting place of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Pakistan’s national poet. Born on November 9, 1877, in Sialkot, he passed away on April 21, 1938. As per his wishes, he was buried near the steps of the Badshahi Mosque.

Lahore Museum - Ranked as the 10th largest museum globally, Lahore Museum boasts an impressive collection representing Gandhara, Jainism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Islam. Highlights include the unique and invaluable statue of the Fasting Buddha, as well as artifacts like old carpets, doors, dresses, shoes, and windows from the Mughal era. We will also explore exhibits on Pakistan’s Freedom Movement.

Liberty Market - This is Lahore’s most renowned shopping destination, located close to MM Alam Road. It features a wide array of brands offering clothing, shoes, and more.

Walled City Tour

Shahi Hammam - Built in 1634 A.D. during the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, this bathhouse is situated near the Delhi Gate, which faces Delhi, India. Historically, it offered hot, cold, and steam baths.

Masjid Wazir Khan - Constructed in 1634 A.D. under Shah Jahan’s rule, this mosque is renowned for its extensive frescoes and tile mosaic work, serving as a school of design and arts.

Shalimar Bagh (Shalimar Gardens) - This exquisite garden, also created during Shah Jahan’s era, features three terraces, over 400 water fountains, and a beautiful waterfall.

Jehangir’s Tomb & Kamran’s Baradari Pavilion - We will visit the Tomb of Jahangir. While the first Mughal emperor, Zahir ud din Babar, is buried in Kabul, Afghanistan, and the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, in Rangoon, Burma, Jahangir is the only Mughal emperor interred in Lahore, Pakistan. We will also see the tomb of Asif Jah, brother of Noor Jahan and father of Mumtaz Mahal (buried in the Taj Mahal, India), as well as the tomb of Noor Jahan, the beloved wife of Jahangir.

Additional Information

As the Romans say, all roads lead to Rome, and similarly, Pakistanis say that one who has not seen Lahore has yet to be born. The Mughals, Sikhs, and the British have all ruled here. Lahore is a historical, cultural, and capital city of Punjab. It is often called the City of Gardens due to the Mughals and the City of Colleges due to the British, who established many educational institutions here. Education is crucial for the progress and development of a nation. Lahore is also known for its mud wrestlers and the vibrant hustle and bustle of the old town. According to Hindu legend, the city was founded by Lava, the son of Rama, and is named after him; his temple still stands in Lahore. Visitors often leave with the heartfelt sentiment that Lahore is truly unique. The city’s cuisine is also renowned. Lahore is home to many shrines of Sufi saints, including Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh Ali Hajveri, who played a significant role in the spread of Islam. LAHORE IS LAHORE.

Re-learning Lahore and its History - To say that I am a satisfied customer would be an understatement. As a Pakistani (born and raised in Karachi), I initially booked the two-day Lahore trip (which became a 3-day trip) out of convenience since I was traveling with my 5-year-old. The convenience trip became a re-education and exploration trip of Lahore. Mr. Maqbool did a remarkable job interlacing the touristy destinations with his deep knowledge of history. He managed my expectations with sound advice (which I trusted) and he exceeded my expectations on several occasions: for example, when he arranged a professionally framed photo at the Wagah border, or when he happily became my photographer since I managed to lose my phone a few days earlier. His kindness and easy manner also made a strong impression on my son, which manifested in him singing Coke Studio songs at the top of his lungs on our way back from Khewra Mines (which he had never done with me, in front of others).

Excellent two days spent exploring this amazing city - The two days spent exploring Lahore with Maqbool were some of my favourite days that I spent in Pakistan. Maqbool crafted a detailed itinerary that took in all the main stops and then some! There’s heaps to see in this incredible city, from historical forts to beautiful gardens and bustling markets to architecturally stunning tombs. The flag ceremony at Wagah-Attari border crossing was also a highlight. Thanks Maqbool for a great two days! Would highly received this tour to anyone visiting the Lahore region.

Best guide ever! - This was such a special experience! Maqbool met me at the border and I spent 6 days touring Lahore and Islamabad with him and his very safe driver. He is an excellent historian who explains what we are visiting and how it ties into the history of the region. He knows everyone wherever we went and was able to help me gain access to sites I could never go to on my own. We visited the fort, mosques, tombs, gardens, archeological sites, and museums. Maqbool recommended excellent inexpensive hotels on 2 occasions…once when my flight had been cancelled and I thought I would be stuck at the airport overnight. I felt like I was with family and it was one of the best adventures ever. I am a 70 yr old woman traveling solo and with Maqbool I felt 100% safe throughout my travels in Pakistan.
