- Wagah Border - Every day of the year, just before sunset, a flag-lowering ceremony occurs at the Wagah Border between India and Pakistan. This ceremony, which has been held since 1959, lasts approximately 45 minutes. It begins with high patriotic spirits from both sides of the border. Soldiers march towards the gate at the border, which is opened upon their arrival. The soldiers salute each other and proceed to lower the flags.
