Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - The driver guide will pick up guests from their Nairobi hotel or the airport. After a briefing, the journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy begins, with a stop at the equator crossing, the imaginary line dividing the earth into the northern and southern hemispheres. There is a prominent sign for a photo opportunity at the equator before continuing the journey, arriving in time for lunch. In the evening, guests will embark on a game viewing drive in the conservancy. The day concludes with a delicious buffet dinner and a restful night at the camp.

Ol Pejeta to Aberdare National Park

Aberdare National Park - After breakfast, guests will head out for a game drive in search of wildlife, including the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, and buffalo) among other animals. The conservancy also features a special sanctuary for rare and endangered species such as the black rhino, Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, and chimpanzees. The chimpanzee sanctuary, the only one in Kenya, provides a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, helping them learn to live independently in a natural habitat.

Aberdare National Park Game Drive

Aberdare National Park - After an early breakfast, guests will venture out in search of elephants, rhinos, leopards, monkeys, buffaloes, zebras, and bushbucks. Aberdare is teeming with wildlife. The park’s stunning scenery, including the Chania and Karuru waterfalls, and the vibrant colors of over 250 bird species, add to the allure. Game drives continue until lunchtime, which is enjoyed in the jungle. After lunch, the game drive resumes. Although high temperatures in the afternoon can make wildlife harder to spot, the breathtaking Aberdare scenery more than makes up for it. Guests can marvel at the clear cascading waters, scattered acacias, forested ravines, and open moorlands.

Aberdare - Solio Ranch

Solio Ranch - After breakfast, guests will depart for Solio Ranch and begin game viewing in one of Kenya’s least crowded private game reserves. The abundant wildlife ensures easy and plentiful sightings, allowing for a relaxed pace. Guests can observe the numerous black and white rhinos and spot four of the Big Five (elephants are purposely excluded to preserve vegetation for the endangered black rhino). Reticulated giraffes, elands, waterbucks, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and many other species can also be seen. Later, guests will drive back to Nairobi, with lunch en route, and be dropped off at their hotel or the airport.
