Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Begin your safari with a pickup from your hotel or the airport and travel north to Ol Pejeta. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is renowned for its population of endangered black rhinos and northern white rhinos. The conservancy is home to the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) as well as a variety of other wildlife species. Optional activities include visiting the Sweetwater Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which offers a safe haven for rescued chimpanzees.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Aberdare National Park
Aberdare National Park - Start your day with breakfast in the conservancy and spend the morning visiting the chimpanzee sanctuary. Here, you can learn about the institution founded by the famous naturalist Jane Goodall and its efforts to rehabilitate our closest relatives.
In the afternoon, take a short drive to Aberdare National Park, where a brief game drive will bring you to the Ark Lodge. The lodge’s platforms are built around a popular watering hole, allowing you to observe a wide range of African wildlife as they drink, play, and hunt.
Aberdare to Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, check out from the lodge and proceed to Lake Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive where you can see a diverse array of birds and animals. Over 400 species of birds have been recorded here, including the greater and lesser flamingos that light up the lake’s surface with their pink hues, as well as rhinos.
Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara, where lunch will be waiting upon your arrival. Continue your journey into the Masai Mara in the afternoon, with opportunities to see the iconic “Big Five” and witness the wildebeest migration. If you visit between July and October, you may be able to see the migration of herbivore herds firsthand.
