He will explain how the bioluminescent bays glow, and you will see your friends and yourself glitter in a spectacular way. He will also talk about the history of La Parguera. La Parguera is very interesting and special; it’s one of three bioluminescent bays found along Puerto Rico’s coastline. The bay’s glowing effect is made possible by micro-organisms called dinoflagellates, which emit a short burst of light when the water is agitated. La Parguera is the only Puerto Rico bio bay tour that actually allows you to go swimming in a bioluminescent bay. For this reason, it’s very unique.
