Excellent Shuttle Service - Annarita with TaxiCortinaSci.it was our driver and coordinated two vans for our group of 10. She communicated with us before the trip confirming pickup details. Both vans were spotless.
She offered good background on the area, which helped us better understand Cortina and the Dolomitti.
Our only wish was the ability to eat in the vans as we missed our hotel breakfast for a 6am pickup.
Thank you Annarita !

UNMISSABLE!!! WONDERFUL!!! - UNMISSABLE!!!
Wonderful lake, emerald green waters. The dolomites are part of the landscape, we went in May and there was still snow at the top of the mountain. The landscape is breathtaking.
Easy to park, but parking costs 10 euros.
You can walk around the lake, but elderly people or those with mobility problems will have difficulty.
The path to get to the side is beautiful too, each curve is a surprise with the snowy dolomites surrounded by the green landscape. Reserve half a day for this visit. Take a sweater or jacket...it's cold there

Excellent service, highly recommended - My Friend and I engaged Bruno’s help to drive us to Tre Cime and Lago di Braies then back to our hotel.
He speaks fluent English so it was really convenient to plan to trip beforehand as he is always readily available on whatsapp.
He always arrives early and has a great attitude. We were late to meet him after our hike at Tre Cime and did not have reception to inform him, but he waited patiently for us for about 30 minutes and even drove nearer to where our hike ended so we did not have to walk further.
We also whatsapped him to help drive us from Rifugio Lagazuoi to Cortina station 3 days later. The vehicle is also comfortable, spacious and clean. No fuss service, highly recommended!

Scammy tourist trap - It’s absolutely a tourist trap right from the beginning. To access the lake, you need to book a Kombi ticket online for 40€ that apparently includes a parking lot fee (10€), free shuttle service to access the lake from the parking lot and also a 20€ voucher that can be redeemed in a selected restaurant. So you think it’s probably a good deal to get in for 20€ and also spend 20€ for drinks and snacks.
The Kombi ticket allows for a parking at P5 (which we learned later on that is around 10km away from the lake) so you drive for like 15mins from the entrance to get to this parking place, no clear guidance on the road too. Anyway you find the lot with some gut feeling, and then look for the shuttle station. To reach the lake from P5, you learn that you need to change 2 busses, and also that these busses come only once in an hour. If you miss it, you’ll wait for an hour for the next one under the sun, because there are no sunshades on the bus station.
We had to spend approximately 3 hours here because of the shuttle service scam, just to enjoy a lake view for 15 mins, which to be honest is not that special, and is pretty much similar to any other lake you see on the road in Dolomites. It’s an okay lake, and I was not impressed at all, there are so many more natural beauty spots in the area that doesn’t charge you, and also don’t scam you.
About the 20€ voucher at a restaurant, apparently you can’t redeem it if you bought the ticket on the same day, for no apparent reason. You need to book this ticket in advance if you want to redeem it, just to scam you.
Renting a boat for 45 mins also costs 50€. The most scammy experience I’ve had in Italy.
It’s not the fact that you need to pay for this makes you feel like a fool, but that the overall experience is just so terrible.
