Highlights

Lake Natron - Salt lakes and over 2.5 million Flamingos

This day brings you a road trip through northern Tanzania with the destination Lake Natron. You depart from Arusha after breakfast. The drive can take up to 6 hours and it’s the perfect way to see different sides of Tanzania’s ever-changing landscapes. As you pass the Rift Valley and drive further towards Lake Natron, you will notice the lush green vegetation slowly exchanging for dry, arid and dusty landscapes. The occasional Maasai villages passed en route become dots in the distant scenery. The further north you reach, the more remains of old volcanoes rise around you. Among them is Ol Doinyo Lengai, meaning ‘Mountain of God’ in Maasai dialect. This volcano is one of the few that are still active. When you eventually reach Lake Natron, you might perhaps catch its smoke disappearing in the sky. The night is spent in a comfortable bed at Africa Safari Lake Natron.

You will have a waterfall walking tour and Flamingo lake walk to end your day

Lake Natron is a mineral-rich soda lake in northern Tanzania, at the border with Kenya. It’s a breeding ground for hundreds of thousands of lesser flamingos, despite the highly alkaline state of the striking red waters. It sits below Ol Doinyo Lengai, a soaring active volcano in the Rift Valley. Trails lead from the lake to the Engero Sero waterfalls, which flow over craggy rocks into a natural pool

Excellent! - We had a great 4 days safari with Issa from Destiny Explorers . Everything was in order already from the booking of the safari where we talked to Issa. Smooth conversation and also quick to reply which was very nice. Issa was very polite, informative and respectful. Your wish is always the first priority. Can definitely recommend!

Super professional guide - Good evening! Thank you for your great guide. I posted review on the website Noely shared, and here I paste same one below. Firstly we were looking for 3-4 days tour, and sent more info request to some companies. Destiny explores had the fastest response. They answered every questions so quick. So I decided to enjoy with them. One of my dreams of Safari is to see great migrations. They manage to do that, even offered changes to our itinerary. During Safari, our guide seemed having a lot of friends and exchanged latest info of appearance of animals. In conclusion, We saw the migration, as well as four of big five animals ( we didn’t see rhino, but there is very few rhinos at Serengeti), cheater hunting attempt, lion’s family gathering. I’m professional TV director back in my country Japan though this is my total holiday, I asked a lot to my guide to move our car back and forth to set my camera position, he managed to do that. We stayed four accommodations, and all of them super. Last night, I stayed at Baobab Luxury camp, there is surrounded by bare nature, even hear the voice of animals very closely at night (24 hours security guard so it is safe) this was exciting experience. One more good thing is clear instruction of tips. As a Japanese, we don’t have tips customs, I don’t get use to it. Our guide instructed at the first day, it is helpful. It was great journey, and I think we are lucky enough to meet good guide.
