After you check in the hotel we will drive to sites where we find a concentration of some of Ethiopia most famous Rock hewn churches, mostly referred by many as “ the living wonders of the world “ this churches are they have been here for at list 900 years , an active christen shrine, spiritual center of the country religious life.
Then we will visit the 1st clusters of churches and this contains :-Bet- Medhalealem , Bet- maryam ,Bet- Meskel , Bet- Denagle , Bet- Mikael & Golgotha
After lunch we will visit 2nd cluster of churches and this contains :- Bet Gabriel & Rafael , Bet Emanuel , Bet Abba Libanos
Finally we will visit st George , the one in a shape of cross and most probably the highlight of your visit to Lalibela.

This journey features the world-renowned rock-carved churches, often referred to as ‘the living wonder of the world’. These sanctuaries have endured for at least 900 years. Hike to the cliffside monastery of Asheton Mary (3200m). Following a brief rest, we hike for another 1.5hr to Lalibela Hudad Eco Lodge (3400m) that offers panoramic views of the surrounding terrain. Our exploration includes visiting local salt mines and viewing camel convoys. At the Erta Ale mountain range, we’ll have the thrilling opportunity to witness and photograph one of the earth’s continuously active lava lakes at the Erta Ale volcano. The tour also extends to the Danakil Dallo for an excursion to witness a geological formation situated 120m below sea level. Moreover, we participate in a church service at one of Lalibela’s revered churches and experience an authentic Ethiopian coffee ceremony.
