A transformative experience - I just finished an amazing 3 day hike in Lalibela with my guide Abuwa and It was way more than I expected. The people of lalibela welcomed me into their homes, broke bread with me and showed me a way of living I've never experienced before. I have never felt so safe and cared for by people other than my family and close friends. The issues further north are nothing to be concerned about in lalibela anymore.I went and never felt I was in any danger and had a great time. I can't recommend this tour enough!! Abuwa is extremely knowledgeable about the stone churches and surrounding areas, there was never a question unanswered and the love he had for his community and them for him you can feel with every interaction you'll see. My only complaint is I was the only person out in the village due to the pandemic and issues with TPLF months prior. If you find yourself in Lalibela this is the tour for you!!

Trek arounf Lalibella - Benjamin is by far the most professional tour guide in lalibella! My friend and I had such a good time with him, super funny and easy going, adjusted to all of our needs, was very kind and caring. We definitely recommend Benji!!

Community 3-day hike to Abuna Yosef - Binyam was a great Tour Guide. We've had very interesting talks and a wonderful 3-day hike with the main attraction Abuna Yosef. There we've not only seen a fantastic panoramic view and giant lobelia, but also a huge of group gelada monkeys in the rocks from very close by. We've stayed with the community, which was enourmously interesting, warm and authentic. Binyam had a good relationship with all the local people and translated for us whenever needed. We've even talked about intimate topics, which was very interesting from a western perspective. The food was batam tasty. The next time I'm in Lalibela, I'm sure I'll book Binyam again, maybe for a big Hike from Lalibela to Ras Dashen... Thank you for everything, with love, Alex

Trek Abuna Yosef with the instructor Binyam- Very very recommended! - We are a family of 5, all in the ages 17-60. We did the Abuna Yosef trek with Binyam for 2 nights. He was an amazing instructor, that really got into our hearts. He is professional and knows every step of the way, he is physically strong (sometimes you need his help in the trek), and over all- he is a very warm, sweet person. He is friendly, and we had some really interesting conversations with him. He took care of us from A to Z- equipment for the trek, making sure that everybody is satisfied with the pace and the food, sitting with us and singing near the bonfire in the evening... etc. We had an amazing time with him.

Awesome experience in rural area near Lalibela, with our guide Biniam! - We hiked the Last Mountains with Biniam as a guide, for 3 days and 2 nights in Woldia. We carried our own water and sleeping gear, and we ate what the local people ate (including injera made from barley), because we wanted to keep the trip as private as possible and the price low. Biniam will be happy to arrange it differently, as you want. It was a great hiking experience and a truly unique rural community experience, and I would highly recommend taking 2 or 3 days even if you hiked the Simien mountains already. The hike from Lalibela was interesting and when going back to Lalibela we saw a big group of Gelada baboons. The atmosphere in the authentic village was unique and peaceful. Pleasant to walk around. The round trip to Abune Yusef mountain is really beautiful, and definitely worth it, but be aware it's at least 7h walk. Biniam's English is good, and he's easily the most pleasant and honest guide we encountered during our 3 weeks in Ethiopia. We liked him so much we decided to help him in setting up a website and this tripadvisor page

Amazing 2 day trip - Did a 2 day trek leaving from lalibela with bnya. Was absolutely amazing!! Bnaya was professional, very kind, took care of absolutely everything and gave a real, authentic, and warm experience. Would recommend for everyone to do this trek only with bnaya for the best experience.
