Historical gem - We were recommended this tour in a chance encounter with someone and what a treat it turned out to be! Barrie certainly knows the history of Lancaster and delivered it in an entertaining way. We definitely have a greater understanding of how Lancaster has become the place it is today.

Great guide and enjoyable walk - Tour started exactly on time, only my wife and I due to last minute cancellations, this made it even better for us. Barry (the tour guide) proved to be very knowledgeable about local history and this tied in very well with our own limited knowledge of the area. The whole experience took almost exactly 3 hours and we considered it to be very good value for money. About 3 miles of walking involved but at a steady pace and with plenty of stops Would definitely recommend

Friendly and Informative - From the initial meeting, Barrie was very friendly and informative. Questions asked along the way were always answered with great authority. Our visit to Lancaster was primarily to discover more information information about ancestors, Barrie was helpful in filling in some gaps and pointing me in the direction of seeking more answers.

Walking In Lancaster - Barry, the guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. We learned a lot about Lancaster’s history by walking and stopping at places such as the castle, the slave trade, Dr. Ruxton’s house, and the warehouse area. I feel like I know much more about Lancaster because of this walking tour. I would highly recommend it!

It’s a nice town to be in - I come from Lancaster and don’t think it should be defined by victimhood - slavery and witch persecution. It needs to find current attractive attraction.
