Highlights
  • Strasburg - Visit the farm where the Academy Award-winning movie “Witness” was filmed. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the picturesque Amish farm, which remains largely unchanged since the movie, interact with various animals, and possibly meet the delightful Amish family who owns the farm. This is an exclusive stop, not open to the public.

We’ll also visit a private and charming Amish home where children craft birdhouses. Experience Amish craftsmanship firsthand in the artisan stable and barn, and you can even purchase a birdhouse if you wish.

  • Paradise - Take a tour of a functioning, private Amish dairy farm that dates back to the 1830s.

  • Amish Country - Enjoy a driving tour through the scenic farmland of Lancaster County, learning about the Amish history, culture, religion, and education. We’ll see buildings from the first European settlers over 300 years ago, covered bridges, 19th-century mills, and more on our way to our first stop.

  • Strasburg - Visit an Amish-owned and operated creamery, where your ice cream is included, and the views are complimentary. This is ice cream as it should be… rich, fresh, and delicious!

Amazing experience!!! - Dale was an incredible guide who took us through a 3 1/2 hour tour to the Amish countryside. He was so knowledgeable, and took us to see an Amish family’s homesite, as well as historical areas. I’ve read over 80 Amish books, but Dale brought it all to life and more. Forever grateful. Thanks, Dale.

Great tour , personal touch , best Ice Cream . - Our tour guide was Dale.He took us to 4 private properties and an Amish ice cream shop which was surrounded by corn & soybeans in the field . What a treat . Dale's personal knowledge of the owners of each farm visited added depth to the visit . He carefully explained many Amish traditions and way of life. His explanations corrected misconceptions I had with this community .It was a great tour . Thanks Dale . By the way , cold water is available in the van and a well -timed, very clean, restroom at the ice cream stop .

Fun Amish tour for the whole family - This tour was fantastic. We brought our two young children, so I wasn’t sure how much they would enjoy it. They both had a great time. We saw animals, met a few Amish children, and got ice cream. It was wonderful for them. Our tour guide, Sandy was very knowledgeable. We had four stops and did something different at each place. We even stopped at a roadside farm stand and purchased a ton of fresh produce. We loved it. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend - Excellent tour! Dale was our tour director & he was very well informed on all things in the area. He was very personable & prompt and made the tour a most enjoyable experience. I would suggest taking the 8:30 a.m. tour as they are generally less crowded.

A Must-Do in Lacaster! - Dale knew his stuff! Wow! Former history teacher, farm hand, and having been brought up in the Lancaster area gave his credibility and anecdotes something special! Loved this tour--it was really, really good. My recommendation is to offer it as well as the food tour together as a whole day. I didn't want it to end--I felt like we were just getting started.

Riding in Amish Country - I enjoyed listening to the history and facts about the Amish. I liked visiting the site where "The Witness " was filmed. I did not like visiting two barns which were very similar to each other. You need to add a fourth place where people can meet the Amish and see how they live.

Just a Tour - It was disappointing, it was NOT an immersion experience. I thought I would be able to speak with an Amish person to actually hear them speak about their life and that did not happen. It was just a touring of Amish farms with a stop over to get some ice cream.
