Darker side of Lancaster history - Dan was our tour guide, he did a great job. Stories were well told. Would definitely reocommend. We are local and treated some out-or-town friends, we all had a blast!

Narrator was good - Tour was good except it was very cold and damp . We were miserable and legs were cramping from standing for almost 2 hours . Presentation was good it's just we felt Lancaster doesn't have the real ghostly tales as in other older cities

Mediocre Ghost Tour - Tour guide was friendly. Her love for Lancaster was evident. Guide often left out interesting details that wouldve captured my attention. Participants had to inquire about these details after each story in order to get clarity about the alleged happenings. She was hesitant to speak on anything that might be controversial--especially events that included indigenous or enslaved people.

disappointed - I expected more spooky stuff, more current stuff, but it was a walking tour of history. The tour guide was fun but I guess I just expected more actual events

Very Disappointing - The email confirmation tells you that your tour departs from the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Penn Square at the intersection of King and Queen Streets. When my husband and I arrived for the tour, we noticed a costumed woman with a lantern across the street, so we went to her. We met two other couples in the party and the guide told us that we were waiting for a party of three. She kept looking at Penn Square and saying that there were three people who had been waiting there for a while and wondered if they were in our party. She didn't go and ask them or call to them to find out if they were waiting for a ghost tour. She kept saying she would give them a few more minutes at which point all seven of us would look over. After several instances of all of us looking at them, they came over to the group. When they asked why we were all on this side of the street since the email states to meet in Penn Square, the guide shrugged her shoulders and said the owner changed it for some reason recently. She gave no apology for the mix up or not asking if they were part of the tour. The tour itself was a big let down. My husband and I have been on quite a lot of different ghost tours. We have even been on ghost tours in Gettysburg that travel a lot of the main streets. This tour was terrible. The guide did not speak very loudly and tended to face part of the tour members, so some of us were left to hear only parts of the stories. The locations for the stories were on main streets, side streets, and alley ways. Most of the stories on the main streets were very difficult to hear because of the traffic, the loud music played by a majority of the cars traveling the main and side streets, and the incredibly loud music coming from many of the bars on the main streets. In the alley ways, we were a bit better able to hear, but had to contend with vehicles that would not slow down or even stop for our tour crossing the street. My husband had been injured recently and was not walking at normal speed, so we were both very concerned for his safety. The guide went as far as to complain about why traffic does not stop for the tours crossing the street, but was in no way concerned about my husband crossing or assisting with traffic while he was crossing. The only stories we were able to really hear were in the alley behind the Marketplace and at St. James church because there was not much noise or traffic in those locations. Having been on the Strasburg ghost tour before, we were familiar with the story of the Iron Master and the Hounds. The story on that tour is told very well. The telling of the story on this tour was disjointed, did not really make sense unless you knew the story already, and was hurried through with bits of the poem thrown in here and there. The guide even told us that when the story starts to sound weird, that is her putting in parts of the poem. The telling of this story really didn't make sense. While we are used to having varying levels of terrain on ghost tours, there were some hills that were quite challenging even for the fit among us. We needed to keep a swift pace to keep up with the guide who was only concerned with getting to the next spot and did not wait for everyone to join before beginning the story. We will not be doing this tour again.

Terrible - Some interesting stories of Lancaster’s history that were lost in long winded, rambling monologues with little to do with ghosts. Not enjoyable.

Not very good - The guide was a very nice woman but the tour wasn’t what we expected. Perhaps Lancaster just isn’t the best ghost tour city :/

Wow.Poor planning and execution - Purchased for a special occasion back in January. Tour guide never showed. Another group waiting contacted the main number and was told they couldn't get a hold of the guy who does it. WTH? Since 5pm, tour starts at 8pm. At about 7pm, if it were me I'd dawn my gear and fill in if I had customers waiting. Be careful if you reserve it.
