Highlights
  • Lancelin Sand Dunes - Stop at the Bakery for a toilet stop and food if you are hungry. Then we drive to the pure white, giant sand dunes where you can try sandboarding. Also a great place to take photos.
  • Nilgen Lookout - A beautiful nature reserve where we stop to see wildflowers in season. We either stop here or Hangover Bay depending on the weather and the group on the day.
  • Hangover Bay - A beautiful little secluded bay that was used as a meeting place by local Aboriginal Tribes. See the plant the Aborigines used to make fishing nets as well as numerous other plants used as Bush Tucker and Medicine. If we stop at Nilgen Nature Reserve we generally don’t have time to stop here as well.
  • The Pinnacles - See the magnificent Pinnacles Desert at sunset. Enjoy a barbeque dinner with wine followed by stargazing with Telescopes and Astro Binoculars. Here Dreamtime stories of the night sky created by the world’s first astronomers, the Australian Aborginals.

Value for Money. Great Location - Fabulous Trip - Pinnacles are amazing - BBQ tasty. Great Guide. Don went over and above when our stargazing was rained off he took us up to Kings park so we could see the lights of Perth. Thanks again to Clair who also arranged some Prosecco so we could toast my daughters 19th. Thoroughly recommend 🙌

Fantastic - Hadriel is a very fun person to talk to. Even the day was raining but he made this day special. The other passengers also made up an important part of this special day.

One of the Best Tours in Perth - I loved this tour and the tour guide, Skip, made it an enjoyable experience. He's a very accommodating, friendly guy and made sure you were enjoying yourself, regardless of age. Don't assume he knows nothing about our galaxy. His honesty was entertaining and refreshing. As an American doing long-term traveling in Australia and living only in cities, it was a wake up call to get out into the outdoors again and explore more of the natural beauty that this wonderful country has to offer. The sand boarding and a walk on the beach prior to a barbeque under the stars with Skip's knowledge of the night sky was one of the highlights of my stay in Perth.

Unusual and interesting with great driver. - Didn't feel like doing much but so glad I went. Interesting combination of activities and vistas topped off by stars at night. Our driver, Gavin gave very good commentary. We had two smaller buses. Both drivers helpful. Everything supplied... binoculars, telescope, boards for sand dunes. Unusual and interesting experience.

Great tour to see the Pinnacles - Enjoyed the tour to visit the Pinnacles very much. Our guide Gus was very knowledgeable and an amazing photographer. My only critic was to improve on the dinner. As the weather was quite cold, a hot meal/drink would be much preferred.

An experience not to be missed! - Gavin did a wonderful job narrating on the way to and from the desert. It was a lot of work to set up the equipment and dinner under the stars; he did a great job!
