Boat Tour in Gothenburg

Lejontrappan - After breakfast, the tour guide will pick you up at 13:30 to start your tour. You will be driven to the downtown center to board your boat and explore Gothenburg in a leisurely and active manner. Lejontrappan, meaning “The Lion Stairs” in Swedish, is the starting point for the boat ride and a well-known landmark in Gothenburg.

Gustav Adolfs Torg - Enjoy a boat ride on the Goth River through Gustav Adolfs Square, where you will learn about the statue of King Gustav Adolfs, which has stood there since the late 17th century. You will also see the stock market building, an example of neoclassical architecture from the 18th century.

Tyska Christinae Forsamling - The boat will then take you past the German Church, also known as Christinae Church, located in Gothenburg’s city center. Named after Queen Christina, it was inaugurated in 1748 and serves the German and Dutch congregations in Gothenburg.

Lilla Bommen - Continue the boat ride into the open Baltic Sea at Lilla Bommen, part of Gothenburg’s harbor, which accommodates visiting boats and is also the name of the surrounding area. The Göteborg Opera House, the barque Viking, and the eponymous building are all located at Lilla Bommen. Refreshments and snacks will be provided during the boat tour.

Conclude the tour by appreciating the view and history of Feskekörka, meaning “the fish church” in Swedish. This indoor fish market in Gothenburg resembles a Neo-gothic church and was designed by city architect Victor von Gegerfelt, opening on November 1, 1874. At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel.
