It is expensive but it can also be very memorable, do your homework - Okay everybody this is going to be the review you need to read. Understand what the place is so that way you know what you're getting into up front. It is expensive, the food is standard basically pizza, burgers, hot dogs. A burger is almost $20 and you're going to wait in line. Now with that out of the way there are charming aspects that will be memorable for your kids as long as you work around the high dollar cost and the lines. It is worth it as long as you understand what it is. Have fun with your family focus on the good stuff.

We love Sesame Place - Our experience at Sesame Place Philadelphia was awesome! All of the staff and characters were wonderful. Every year we go, the experience gets better and better. Our party included two adults with disabilities and the staff and characters went above and beyond to make their experience very special. Thank you Sesame Place!

Not the quality of Sea world or Buch Gardens which parent company also owns - Went with 4 kids 6 adult. Were there also maybe 35 years ago. What struck me was that on the Saturday I was there the park seemed to be mostly attended by locals from Trenton and North Phili. I guess it makes sense as for a small amount more you can add to your ticket and get a season pass. Crowded! We expected it so we bought the fast pass for the main rides. It cost me about $120 per ticket EXTRA but worth it for a one day visit. The lines for us were no more than 15 minutes. I am sure the others waited average 30 min. The food line for any hot food was 90 minutes! Totally ridiculous. They claim you cannot bring in food or a cooler on web but a sign as we arrived said no coolers bigger than 12" x12". So we could have brought drink and food to avoid lines. Bring a wagon or stroller just for your stuff! Bathrooms were disgusting. They need to add employees who are just ambassadors with information to give directions and point to bathrooms. Very confusing and must time wasted trying to find things. Rides were understaffed and a bit unsafe. The biggest individual tube slide was 1/2 open with one guard at top on a very crowded day. This guy has to launch you down, control two lines -fast pass and regular, and he has a mirror to see what is happening at bottom. People were crowding onto the platform on top and almost falling into the empty unused chute as they tried to be next. They definitely needed two people at the top per slide. I would look for package deals with hotels way ahead instead of last minute to save lots of money. Hotels close by have no sidewalk or light on road at night. Very dangerous to walk to the park. No hotel shuttles. Restaurants nearby are closing. Bertucchi is gone. The area is depressed. Overall I am glad we went. The guests seemed to stay kind in spite of poor management and I went with low expectation with the thought that as long as the kids liked it I would be fine.

Okay for Young Kids - This was my first time at Sesame Place. I have two kids- 2.5 and 5.5. We went on a Saturday (busiest day) and a Sunday (least crowded). On the days that we went most of the rides were open, but the popular rides could be at least an hour wait. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. There was always water (source unknown) and toilet paper all over the floor, and they stunk like pee. By 12pm one of the bathrooms was operating at only half the stalls having toilet paper. The food was overpriced and what I would expect park food to taste like. It would have been nice if they'd had more healthier options. On an extremely busy day the food line was insane. I did mobile order ahead of time and would recommend ordering your food via mobile order AT LEAST 45 minutes ahead of when you want to eat on a busy day. My kids are young, so they had a great time. They liked the lazy river and Big Bird's little beach area. When we went back on Sunday we made sure to be in the line for parking by 9:15am. By the time we got into the park when it opened at 10:00am, it wasn't crowded yet so we were able to get on rides without a long wait. We did a ton of character meet and greets, a character story time, we got to the parade spot at 2:15pm to get an upfront view, and the parade was fun: a lot of singing and dancing. My kids had a really good time, but I recommend going NOT on a weekend (especially Saturday) if you want to beat the lines.

Just “okay” - Pros: Parade, Meet and Greet for Character, cute rides Cons: long wait to get into the park, extremely limited seating areas for food, the worst ice cream on the planet (actually was refunded), way overpriced for small size of park/ long wait times for rides due to small size capacity of rides

Sesame Place Has Been Bought Out By Corporate Greed - EIGHT DOLLARS for a PRETZEL!!!! Yes, you're reading that price correctly. I was flabbergasted and appalled by the cost, when I returned 22 years later with my grandsons. Of course, prices increase over time but this is outrageous gauging of parents whose children want the Sesame Place experience. It would be a financial hardship for many families to afford the $69.99 price of ticket and $35 for parking. The warmth, sense of family and inclusivity of the past clearly got bought out by corporate greed. It's no wonder that while I was a the park I found myself quietly humming the theme song, "Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?" JUST FOLLOW THE MONEY!

Terrible service/ LOTS OF WATER RIDES CLOSED - I took my 2 year old granddaughter for her 2 years old birthday , with my son, wife and my godson( he is 12 yrs old). It was not a cheap trip not only was it like almost 3 hrs away from us. I also paid for the parking. We went there on July 13, 2024. Most of the adult rides where not open that day. We asked why even the waterslides on The Count's Splash Castle area were closed. the other on that was open had a big line... too long for a 2 year old to wait. The other games Abby's Fairy Falls, Elmo's Silly Splashy Slides, Elmo's Surf 'n' Slide, Rosita's Seaside Slides. They were all closed that day. We asked one of the lifeguards which by the way we had tons of lifeguards on the Lazy river... he said and i quote" WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO OPEN THE RIDES" do they really need like 3 per station in each area in the lazy river? I was very disappointed. for like almost wasted $400 dollars not counting the food and beverage. It was really not worth it.

Lines for everything - Get ready to wait in line for everything. So cool for little kids but the excitement of seeing the characters is ruined by lines for parking, security, entering the park, rides, food, bathrooms, lockers, everything. The people who run this have clearly never been to Disney or Universal to see how to manage a high volume park. Not worth the frustration which is sad because my kids and the kids of many families love these characters.

STAY HOME, SAVE YOUR MONEY - *Sesame Place: The Disappointment of the Season* If you're looking for a fun-filled day of frustration and disappointment, look no further than Sesame Place. Imagine the thrill of paying top dollar to enter a park where half the rides are mysteriously closed – no explanation provided, of course. It's like a mystery novel, except instead of suspense, you get a sense of being thoroughly ripped off. Comparing Sesame Place to Six Flags would be an insult to amusement parks everywhere. At least at Six Flags, you have a reasonable expectation that most of the rides will be operational. Here, it's more of a gamble – will your favorite Sesame Street character-themed ride be open today? Who knows? It's all part of the whimsical charm of Sesame Place, apparently. Now, onto the highlight of our visit – the $200 character lunch. Yes, you read that right. Two hundred dollars for a meal where you get to sit uncomfortably close to oversized, sweaty mascots while nibbling on mediocre food that hardly justifies the price tag. The thrill of seeing your child's face light up at the sight of Elmo is quickly overshadowed by the sinking feeling in your stomach as you realize you could have had a far better meal for a fraction of the cost elsewhere. In conclusion, Sesame Place offers a unique blend of frustration, overpriced mediocrity, and occasional glimpses of joy – if you manage to catch them between the closed rides and expensive lunches. Save your money and sanity, and head to a real amusement park where they know how to keep the rides running and the food worth eating. Closed today 7/7/24 The family tube ride (but don't worry, 3 lifeguards sat at the bottom doing nothing but telling people it was closed), The biggest roller coaster in the park, Oscar's taxi. After asking if it would be opening at guest services, the 16 year old working there told me, "I don't know, maybe it will, maybe it won't." I then asked a manager who said it would be open at 3pm. We left the park at 5:30, it never opened. 4 of 6 kids slides in the count castle water area. By mid-day the entire climbing area turned into a line of people trying to use two slides, it was unusable. The pink and blue body slides in the back area. The elmo body slides in the back area. This happened to us last year as well. An absolute disgrace of a park. 4 hours of driving, hundreds of dollars in tickets, meals and hotel. Never again.
