Best jungle tour in Bukit Lawang - Amazing experience! Everything went very well and super easy. The pick up at the airport was great. Yusuf was the best driver. The trek started the next morning and the group I was with canceled sadly. Senta and the team were very flexible and supportive while changing the trip to a solo trek. She was always very responsive before and during the trek. Every question was answered very quickly. She even helped me with my bus out of Bukit Lawang. Olky my guide in the jungle was awesome. He knew so much about the environment, had great stories, and was very funny. His English was great and truly made the trip memorable. Highly recommend!!!

fantastic experience that I will never forget - The trip (7D6N, privat tour) with yong wanda and team has been an amazing experience. First day was around Bukit Lawang, 2nd till 6th day in the deep Jungle without any signs of civilization. 7th day we returned by raft to Bukit Lawang. Some Highlights: - excellent organization (pick up at Medan, breefing, Hotel in Bukit Lawang, etc) - fantastic guide (Wanda) - his English is excellent, his experience with the Jungle and especially the Orang Utans is unique. Great communication, never tired to answer any of my questions. - great team (Henrik, Dan, Lim) which worked hand in hand with Wanda and was very well organized and always friendly and helpful. I was spoilt in the middle of the Jungle. Fantastic Meals and I loved the camps they built. - The flora and fauna of Gunung Leuser Nationalpark is amazing. Apart from Orang Utans, we've also seen other monkey (Thomas's Leaf monkey and others), a lot of birds (e.g. hornbills). And the sighting of an elephant (quite close) has been a once in a lifetime experience. I am extremely happy for this week and would like to thank everybody (Senta, Sandi, Wanda & team) for the organization and their support.

Jungle treck in Bukit Luwang - What a phenomenal and unforgetable adventure! We were treated to a thrilling, fulfilling, sometimes challenging but mostly satisfying experience. It was a smooth operation throughout, from our first contact with the team to safely being back to our final destination. The communication and pre-planning from Senta and the team is faultless and efficient and they catered and tried to accommodate our request at all times. We were welcomed by our enthusiastic driver Yusef at the airport and spare no time introducing us to the beauty of Bukit Luwang. The drive was long so Yusef ensured we were relaxed and comfortable prior to our jungle trek. As we arrived in Bukit Luwang, were greeted by Sandi who have briefed us on our life in the jungle for the next five days and introduced us to their beautiful village. He was very active in welcoming us and ensuring that we were safe and fully equipped for jungle life. Our first day in the jungle was extraordinary, joined by such an oustanding tour guides; Olky and Aceng who have so much passion for protecting the jungle and its living things. They have such an extensive knowledge of the jungle and the wildlife that we have learned valuable prospect in respecting nature and what's all around it. Olky and Aceng eats a lot of carrots so they have excellent eyesights for wildlife so we were very lucky to have the chance to discover and be in the prescence of some of wild exquisite species. It was like a five star treatment as we were also joined by our 2 amazing chefs; Jamal and Hajat who has treated us to some of the best local cuisine we have tried in Indonesia. The ride back to Bukit Luwang on the tube was also the best and has been the most fun experience as Jamal and Hajat drove us through the current of the river while ensuring our safety. Eating together every night whilst telling our story and listening to theirs and singing together has been the best experience we have had in our whole trip. We were like a jungle family and we cannot wait to go back and do it all again.

Phenomenal experience- adventure with the Jungle Guide. - Our trekking adventure with the ‘Jungle Guide’ between in October this year was an epic 5-day, 4-night journey. I thought it would be the tytical trekking going up and down the hills as any other hinkings we have done. Just physical work, maybe spotting semi wild animals. But I was wrong. First things first, let me tell you about our guides: Wanda, Leng, and Hendry. These guys are the real deal. Their expertise, knowledge, and the extraordinary way they took care of us made the trip unforgettable. They knew the jungle inside out and were always there to share their wisdom. We learned so much about jungle survival – what to munch on, what to avoid, how to build a shelter, tree and animal names, and even how to prep and dry wood for a cozy campfire at night. I just wish we had more time for them to teach us how to cook up those unexpectedly delicious jungle meals! Kuddos to our guides that work to keep the jungle free of any kind of pollution by the way. Wanda's expertise came through in the clutch. Seeing wild orangutans is not easy at all. But we spotted one and we had the chance to observe him for a while. Seeing these creatures in the wild is amazing but we also had a blast watching other critters – stick insects, stunning butterflies, and those magical fireflies at night. We even spotted traces of elephants and deers. The crystal clear rivers and waterfalls are a dream. Bathing in those pristine waters was unbelievable. And going down the river and its rapids the last day of the trip was the icing on the cake. Weather was nice in this time of the year ( October) , with some rain and cool nights in which you really need the sleeping bags provided. In a nutshell, it was a phenomenal experience with the Jungle Guide.

Perfect Tour in Bukit Lanag - This tour was one of the best experiences I ever had. First of all - communication with Senta via WhatsApp was perfect. We got picked up in Medan, our driver was right on time at the hotel at 6 in the morning. Arriving in Bukit Lawang our guides were super funny, nice and had a lot of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. Straight on the first day we had encounters with orangutan and macaques. During the trip out guides prepared fruit and lunch for us. We spent the evening and night in a jungle camp close to a river, a perfect place to bath after the trekking. A dedicated cook made chicken rendang, soy teriyaki, vegetable curry, mashed potatoe hash browns and krupuk for us - right in the jungle. This was one of the highlights of the tour, because it was one of the best food we had Indonesia. For the night we had sleeping bags and mosquito nets provided in bamboo shelters. It rained through the whole night, and this was such a chilling experience to have in the middle of the jungle. The next day we hiked back through the river and jungle to Bukit Lawang and went for final rafting tour. Overall, I highly recommend doing this tour, I will surely never foregt it.

4 days jungle trek - We did a four days jungle trek with the best guides Olky and Aseng and Yung Erwin as our cook. The first day we saw 4 Orang-Utans and a baby, it was amazing! Our guides told us a lot about the nature and the animals. Every day we walked around 4-5 hours what also included a lot of breaks for drinking and eating the most delicious fruits of sumatra. After arriving at the camp, we always had the opportunity to refresh in the River or a nearby natural pool or waterfall, it was amazing. Beside the Orang-Utans we saw two types of macaques, white handed gibbons, a scorpion, an owl and thomas leaf monkeys. We had the best time with Olky and Aseng. In the evening we played Games together and did a bonfire on our Last evening. The Food from yung Erwin was everyday very delecious and sometimes made of plants he found on his way through the jungle. We also made Little Orangutan necklaces out of stones. We couldn‘t wish for a better experience than we had. Of our 2 month Trip in Indonesia, the jungle Trip was our favourite experience. The Next time we visit Bukit Lawang, we will do at least 8 days 😄

3 day and 2 nights - perfect! - I booked a 3 day and 2 nights treck over the homepage of The Jungle Guide. I simply stated my interest over the given e-mail on the page and quickly got an answer from Senta. We talked about everything I wanted to know and she helped a lot to get give me the best experience, before the treck even started! From the pick up at the airport over picking a hotel and renting a bag and shoes (which I definetly can recommend! Maybe pack some thick socks to prevent blisters, but I had no issues at all), she made a very good and professionel impression. I then got picked up at my Hotel in the morning by the Guide Ginta. He was very kind and the longer you went along with him, the more you felt that it was important to him for everybody to have a good trip, see animals they came here for and be safe. I was really happy to have had Ginta as my Guide. We saw lots of monkeys, two Tucans and he told us a lot about the jungle and some history about it and got full service at the camps. The swimming in the River after a day of Trekking was beautful and felt refreshing. Our hikes were really steep but i thought it was perfect. You definetly need some stamina and dont underestimate the Power you need to hike three days in a row but you had a lot of trees, roots and lianes to grab and stabilize yourself, which made it a lot easier. The rafting in the end was a good way to end the Treck and the view in unbelievable. I loved it and felt like I was in Jurassic Park. I wore shorts along the Treck

2 day trek - Loved the trip. Excellent communication & organization. Knowledgeable guides. The jungle guide assisted with booking of accomodation and transport to / from Medan. Would absolutely recommend the trip

The most amazing 7 days trekking! - ..oh my goodness, where to start from! We did a 7 days trek, and we can easily say it was one of the most awesome, incredible experiences of our life. The team (Pipit, Jop, Nleng and Torrip) took great care of us, they were all so amazing that we became like a big family, they mean way more than “jungle guides” to us! They have a deep knowledge and connection to the jungle, remarkable survival skills, and showed us how to use different plants (for food or medicine), they prepared tea from a special liana, they cooked delicious yummy food (we ate so much delicious dishes, cooked on the fire!), helped us carrying our stuff.. They looked after us in every single detail, always with a big smile on their faces 😊 It was so fascinating to see how they prepared the camp every night (even under the pouring rain, we were always dry in our tents)…and how lovely to have a bath in the river in the evenings! The jungle atmosphere, with its animal sounds and its wilderness, was so magical. After a week in the jungle, we didn’t even want to come back to “the real world”.. We did rafting down the river to come back to Bukit Lawang, and it was super fun! We cannot recommend the Jungle Guide team enough. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of our hearts, also big shout-out to lovely Sandi and Senta that helped us organising everything (from a taxi back and forth to Medan, to renting some backpacks for the trip) and being incredibly helpful ❤️ Wishing you all the best, jungle family 🦧🌴
