Super organized! Would definitely recommend! - It was fantastic! Saw lots of Orangutans and other apes/monkeys and Yoshi and Bram were great guides. The food was delicious and the trekking was sweaty but very funny. The landscape was incredible and the jungle taxi was the perfect ending to a wonderful trip.

3 day trek July 2024 - We had an excellent 3 days with our guide Mehmet and Jasu in the jungle and saw lots of orangutans, gibbons and monkeys up close. The trip was well organised and balanced to give time both to relax in a spectacular place as well as trek sufficiently hard to explore the area and earn our lovely cooldowns in the river. The food was excellent and the guides found us a few beers each night from somewhere. Whilst the accommodation was obviously not luxurious, we both slept soundly without problems in a fantastic setting. The evenings chatting and playing games organised by the guides ensured we all had a great time as a group before a beautiful float back down the river. Friends of ours had recommended Sumatra Orangutan Trekking to us and we will also recommend them ourselves to others

Jungle trek in Bukit lawang - See the monkey see Mina see Ourang outan heyyy ! 🎼 - Exceptional experience ! Totally immersive and I would recommend it at 100%. Thing you have to know before : it’s a 3 day trek walking everyday but discovering the whole wildlife thanks to your guide. You forgot very quickly how hard it could be sometimes by meeting little black monkey or big orang outan less than on meter than you if you are lucky enough. You will meet some incredible people who will guide you during these 3 days and teach you how to be a real adventurer. Discover the wildlife thanks to this professional team as Memet and Jasu. Thanks so much guys you made our trip soooo interesting, you were so invest by your mission of teaching us everything ! Would 100% recommend - I had the best experience with Sumatra Orangutan Trekking, couldn’t fault anything! I’m a solo female traveller and felt super comfortable and safe with everyone from the company. Dedek kindly organised a driver from the airport as I arrived later, who happily stopped somewhere for dinner too. Our guides were Jerry and Yosia, they were so friendly and easy to get along with. Bob Marley our jungle mama made the beeesssst food! Before arriving in Bukit Lawng and after coming back from the jungle, Dedek and the team made sure I was organised with places to stay and transportation. The jungle itself was one of the most beautiful places ever, notably because of how clean it was. I didn’t see a single bit of rubbish the whole trek, and the guides take a lot of care cleaning up food scraps so the animals don’t get used to eating leftover food. Overall, had such a beautiful experience. Thank you!

Amazing trek 🦧 - We did the 3D2N trek with Rizaldo and Mehmet as our guides. They were amazing - very knowledgeable and funny and we saw lots of monkeys and orangutans. We really enjoyed the trekking, river swim, and the tubing at the end. The food was delicious and we slept very well. We would absolutely recommend this trek :)

Amazing time in the jungle - Everything was taken care of really nicely. We had some amazing guides who taught us Indonesian card games and were good fun in general. The food provided was amazing and we could even get Bintangs in the camp!

Amazing, pure experience with the best people - The trip overall was defenitely worth it. Everything was taken such good care of by the people from this company through whatsapp. They arranged a taxi from the airport that waited for us when we were delayed by 3 hours. Also a taxi back after the 3 day trekking. The trekking itself was an amazing experience! We saw a lot of wild monkeys and were lucky to see some wild orang oetans as well. The guides are such amazing pure people. Rizaldo is the best at providing information and making sure everything goes well, a very good guy. Memet is just a little crazy, we laughed so much together. Unforgettable experience - We had an excellent experience with this organisation. They were very helpful to us and the kids (9&12) and made these 3 days an unforgettable trekking. Everything was well organised by Dedek and the team from pick up at the airport to hotel in Bukit Lawang and the trekking. Our guide Erwin(sah) Sahrul was very kind and made it also a fun experience for our kids, helped them where needed, made them a jungle hat, explained and showed they a lot of things from the jungle and spoke excellent English. Don’t hesitate to book with this organisation. You will not regret this.
