Amazing experience - The guides were amazing guys! Compliments to Dimas, Roji and Habibi for guiding us. We found the orangutans on both days of our trek, besides all other amazing animals. We also stayed at the lodges in a beautiful location with a great view.

Amazing!!! - This tour was the highlight of our Indonesia trip! We were a group of 6, 4 Irish girls and us. Our 3 guides were insanely helpful and attentive. We had so much fun with our group and the guides. Our head guide Dimash was only 26, but had great knowledge and told us so many things about the animals and the jungle in general. He really loves what he does and he puts so much effort in finding animals and as we found them in positioning us for the best view at them. And we saw a lot of them, because he's so attentive to the environment, you can tell it's his profession! Our two help guides were very kind and attentive, too. When the trek was slippery, there was always a helpful hand when you needed one. And don't worry, they'll suite the choice of trek level on your fitness- and motivationlevel. The meals were delicious and all vegetarian, as we ask them to before. As a perfect finish we were tubing down the river back to Bukit Lawang, which was real fun! Thank you for this unforgettable adventure!

Our best time in Bukit Lawang was in the jungle! - Great time doing a 2 day jungle trek to see orangutans, and we weren’t disappointed. The guides know their way around the jungle so well! We also saw Thomas leaf monkeys, long tail macaques, gibbons, peacock, hornbill. The food supplied is plentiful and beautifully presented. The guides look after the group on tough terrain and keep spirits up. We also did a 5 day jungle trek. This we did first. More of a jungle adventure as we escape the tourists and ended up the only people! No more wildlife though. This could have been emphasised more that seeing wildlife after day 1 will be hard, and not likely. We had 2 days of river walking, crossing what I would describe as sometimes dangerously high and fast river. This really should have been told to us beforehand! Some river crossing experience definitely recommended prior to signing up. It got me down spending 2 full days slogging through river that was sometimes up to my waist in depth. And not seeing any wildlife.

1 day tour through Bukit Lawang with Imam and Roji - We booked a one-day tour with The Jungle Guide, and Senta did an excellent job organizing everything. The tour through the jungle was absolutely fantastic, with our guides, Imam and Roji, expertly leading us through the wilderness and ensuring we spotted all the monkeys. They were incredibly kind and made the experience truly enjoyable. The food they provided was very delicious. Probably our best food yet here in Indonesia. For our overnight stay, we booked a jungle cabin. The experience was unforgettable, especially the stunning view into the jungle, although it didn't quite meet our usual comfort standards. Despite that, we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and adventurous experience!

Jungle trekking with orangutans - Very good experience. The stay at the hotel Fido Dido was great, amazing views from the hotel room and the food was perfect. The trekking was an unique experience with orangutans, we didn't expect to eat or sleep that good in the jungle. The guide Ajeng was very nice to us and answered all of our questions. We sure recommend it.

Great experience but not perfect - A huge WOW for the trek itself and the orang-outans and the other type of monkeys we saw. It’s not an easy walk in the jungle. Many times it was very steep to climb and to go down , like very!! But that could also be fun and adventurous. Make sure you have good trekking shoes. It is very hot in the jungle so keep that in mind with your clothes and make sure you bring a second set of clothes for the second day because it’s very humid in the jungle and nothing dries. Also for the evening, bring some additional light clothes if you don’t want to stay in your completely drenched trekking clothes. Food is quite good. The guides are super nice, the only problem for me was that they smoke cigarettes a lot, like really a lot and it was disturbing. Even during the trek, we would take a break and they would smoke 2-3 cigarettes in 10 minutes. Not only it’s hard to avoid the smoke but it’s bad for the environment and the animals. If I were to go back, I would ask for a non smoking crew, if they exist. It was that bad! Also note that you will spend your evening sitting on the ground, eating on the ground ans sleep on a very rudimentary mattress and pillow, not comfortable at all.

Unique experience - Ideal tour to discover the jungle and see many monkeys. The evening in the camp was not lively, plan what to do. Guide, cook and aide-de-camp were all friendly, but communication was not simple (English limited).
