Totally recommended! - Our guide Masyi was super nice and informative. There were eight of us on the road and the tour took about 2 hours. We went into the mangroves, saw eagles, crabs, monkeys and a snake and learned a lot. Water was provided. In the end it went about 20 minutes across the sea and you could take beautiful photos again. All in all a very nice experience and highly recommended!

Amazing Experience at Langkawi UNESCO Geopark Cruise! - We had an incredible time exploring the mangroves on this tour! We learned so much about the unique ecosystem—mangroves, monkeys, fish, and crabs—thanks to our fantastic guide, Azri. He explained everything in such an engaging and fun way that even our 5-year-old daughter was fascinated. The tour was well-organized, with drinking water provided in reusable glass bottles—great for the environment! This is an absolute must-do in Langkawi, especially for families. We'd do it again definately! Highly recommended!

Interesting morning with JungleWalla - We went on a boat tour in the morning to learn more about the mangroves, and we were very happy to have Masyi as our guide. She was very knowledgeable, clear in her explanations, and always ready to answer any questions. The tour lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes, giving us the opportunity to learn everything about the mangroves—for example, their importance during the 2004 tsunami—as well as other interesting facts about the local fauna and flora. This tour is slightly more expensive than others, but it is also very ethical. They don’t feed the animals, and the reasoning behind this was clearly explained, highlighting the impact it has on wildlife. Additionally, the group was small (we were 7 people, whereas we saw boats of the same size carrying 15–20 people). Completely worth it! Well done, Masyi.

Please book an eco-tour - If you book a boat tip around the mangrove forests and care for the environment, please book an eco-tour like JungleWalla. We saw people on other boats feeding the eagles and the monkeys really unhealthy food. Our guide, Izzatul, was very knowledgeable and informative. She made the whole trip so interesting. I would definitely recommend them

Fabulous guide & tour - This trip is a must for anyone wanting to support local ethical tourism. The philosophy of JungleWalla is to observe and admire the mangrove's natural wonders whilst minimising the impact on the environment. Our guide Azri was amazing, extremely passionate & knowledgeable about the conservation of the mangrove. This highly absorbing tour is a must if you are serious about ethical ecosystem. We got to see various types of wildlife including mudskippers. Great day and amazing memories.

One of the best ways to experience Langkawi’s Mangrove forests - I’m so glad I booked this Mangrove tour with JungleWalla. Firstly the instructions received via WhatsApp were clear and informative the morning of the tour, so we knew exactly where the meeting point was. On arrival (we took a Grab from our hotel which was easy to do), we were met by Masyi at the Mangrove Tour Jetty. There were only 6 of us in total on this shared tour, myself and my husband along with a couple and their 2 young children. Having a small group meant that we had the full attention of Masyi and we were all able to hear her along the route. The tour itself is excellent, Masyi is extremely knowledgable and gave us lots of information as we entered different areas of the mangrove forest. She and our captain were brilliant at locating the wildlife hidden within the trees, including a very small owl which we all would not have seen without their expert eyes! We encountered many different animals; mudskippers, crabs, monitor lizards, monkeys, kites and sea eagles, and we had a whistle stop tour through the bat cave (it was peak time when we did the tour and so there was a fair bit of traffic on the river with other cruises all wanting to see the same spots). Our captain was brilliant at navigating us safely through the busy parts of the river, as he negotiated the other boats, rocks and mangrove roots. It is also important to note that JungleWalla does not support feeding the animals as some other tours do, which was of utmost importance to us as we wanted to see the animals in their natural environments, not contrived by feeding unnaturally. I would recommend others to also find a tour that does not allow feeding animals to enable the wildlife to thrive naturally and not become reliant on poor quality human foods, that do not nutritionally benefit the animals, (e.g we were told the tours that do feed, give the birds fried chicken skin, low in protein and high in fat). The tour ended via a route through the open Andaman sea (you are provided with life jackets for this), and the boat picks up speed to get you back to the jetty. I will say this part can be a firm ride but not uncomfortable and was a brilliant way to end the tour. On a clear day, you are likely to be able to see across to Thailand but it was too hazy for us on the day of our tour. All in all, an excellent and respectful tour, appreciating the natural landscapes and its native inhabitants, more tours should be like this, helping to safely conserve Langkawi’s natural landscapes. 100% recommend.

Interesting view of the area - Amazing insight to the mangroves. Good information from the guide and a small group (6) Although Jungle Walla don’t support feeding the eagles and monkeys we followed boats that did. But a good experience - well organised
