Over 50 years, his dedication produced approximately 550 concrete figures and a stunning garden. The young Veijo Rönkkönen was known for being quite reserved. Creating art was his method of engaging with the outside world; he preferred to invite the world to him rather than venture out. Thousands of visitors explore the park annually. Entry is free.   The national museum dedicated to forest culture is situated in Punkaharju, amidst the stunning landscape of ridges and lakes in Eastern Finland.

We will travel along the ridge road, celebrated as one of the world’s most beautiful drives, stopping at various viewpoints for photos and enjoying some trails (weather and time permitting).
