Additional Information

Cerro Pintor is a daylong excursion to the Andes Mountains located behind Santiago. The adventure includes a high-altitude trek featuring breathtaking views of the nearby peaks and the metropolis of Santiago nestled in the central valley below. The hike begins at an altitude of 3000 msnm (9850 fts) and although the arid weather and intense sunshine can prove challenging, the path does not include any technical steps and is well demarcated. Depending on your preference, the tour can either stop at the Piuquenes Lagoon (3.500 m) or continue to one of the three different summits along the route; Falsa Parva (3.900 m), La Parva (4.000 m) or the highest point, El Pintor (4.200 m) (13.800 fts). The final decision rests on the day’s weather, your enthusiasm, and the advice of your well-experienced guide.

Excellent experience, would recommend! - The experience was great! Joaquín was very competent and accompanied me from start to finish for this project. The hike was very pleasant (even if demanding, the altitude really skews your hiking level, I can do 2000m of height difference, but here my recovery was much less good than usual and I could only do 900). Even if we stopped at the first peak (falsa prava), it was amazing :)

Chilean Holiday - Joaquin guided us over the course of four days to Monumento Natural El Morado, Cerro Pintor, Zapallar, and Cerro La Campana. We had a fantastic trip and each day offered a different look at Chile's natural beauty. Joaquin was a great guide; he was was very organized with logistics and knowledgeable on each region we went to. We had a lot of questions on the the ecology, birds, wildlife, and Chilean culture, which was almost always able to answer. He also made really good sandwiches and brought delicious snacks. I would highly recommend booking a tour with this company.

Best part of my trip - Definite recommendation when in Santiago. Hiked Cerro Pintor with Joaquin - he was really responsive and supportive in the lead up to the trip and made sure all arrangements would accomodate me. The hike itself was amazing, such a beautiful trek and really great conversation all the way up. He was also really aware of matching my ability and making sure the pace was right for me. So grateful and wouldn't hesitate to use Ecordua again!

Great hike and excellent guide - Joaquin was fantastic from start to finish. I contacted him at late notice via WhatsApp to try to organise something and we were able to arrange a hike to Cerro Pintor as a solo private tour thanks to his excellent communication. The trip itself was very nice, the organisation was excellent and the views were outstanding. Its also nice to experience the altitude of 4000m+ just protect yourself from the sun!
