Michael and Melvig. - We went with a 6 year old on this tour and was maybe a little long on the bus for her but she loved the camel ride (11 euro each extra) and generally has the attention span of a goldfish anyway. Picked up at a agreed bus stop we went first for the 20 minute or so camel ride. There was a bar alternative! Then went back on the coach to the demonstration area. I had seen some online advice that we would be better taking a car but glad we ignored that as the coaches bypassed an enormous queue of cars. The demonstrations were short but interesting and then back on the coach through some tight mountain roads to see craters while there was a recording giving an explanation of the volcanoes with some dodgy music. The final part was wine tasting which was little more than a toilet stop. I have this a 5 star review mainly for Michael the tour guide and Melvig the driver. Michael presumably does this a lot but was informative and funny throughout without making it seem like a chore. Very impressive. Also Melvig didn’t crash.

Lovely day trip - Well organised. Great tour guide, friendly and knowledgeable. Nice amount of time to be out for the day, lovely scenery.

Lovely trip - Had a really lovely trip. The excursion was done withing great time so still had some of the day left to do other things. And pick up worked really well. And the tour guide micheal was really entertaining. Got to thank the bus driver for a safe drive round the volcano paths.

Road of volcanoes rollercaster ride - Well worth it, especially the road of volcanoes. Only negative was if you are an early pick up then you have an hour plus tour of resort picking up the other guests. Double decker bus drivers skills were awesome.

Amazing experience! - We had an amazing trip thanks to Michael and Melvig. There sense of humour made the tour so much fun and Michaels knowledge gave us so much information. Melvigs driving skills were phenomenal and we had the best time!

Great experience - We were picked up from our hotel. The driver and guide Michael were very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this tour. Very interesting and great demonstration of the volcano's power. Absolutely outstanding driving through the landscape.

Slow & group too large - Timanfaya is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth visiting. However, the tour company used a double decker bus so the group size was like 50+, one tour guide. Just the pick up of all the people from different locations was like 70+ minutes, which was really boring and tedious, drop off also took a while. The tour guide only started speaking after everyone was on board. Next time I would probably choose a smaller company if I can find one.

Bad directions - The operator did not give us proper directions in order to meet the bus from the cruise ship. So we missed the tour and we were refused a refund. The operator was an additional 35 minutes away from the cruise ship drop off and they told us it was 10 minutes from the port.

Ripped off by the guide? - We booked this tour on Trip Advisor and paid by credit card On the day of the trip the tour guide (Michael) told me there was a problem with the credit card payment and asked me to pay again in cash “because the card machine is not working” I asked for a receipt and Michael took my email and said he would send it. He didn’t. Credit card payment went through. I contacted the company via Trip Advisor and they ‘investigated’ and said that they ‘don’t take cash payments’ I am trying to get money back via my credit card company but sad about the dishonesty of the guide.

Horrible. - After arriving at our hotel the lady tour guide started by calling out wrong names and saying she was no good at names, if I had not gone up to her we would have missed the coach. They should know or bother to learn the correct names. Secondly I explained to the very rushed lady tour guide that I had an injured foot, I have been told by the compaby since that they are not carers got forbid if there was anyone on their tour with a disability. We then stopped on towards the latter part of the tour for a toilet break. My friend and I went to the bathroom and she began to replaster my injured toe that had started to bleed. The lady tour guide, instead of calling my phone to explain the were ready to leave, decided to leave me and my friend stranded and we did not get to see the valcanos. We paid for that tour and she had our phone numbers. She did not want to bother or check, she new we were not there and seemed happy to leave us. No call or no consideration. Will never book a tour with these guys again. I have since complained to them getting unprofessional responses and excuses. All she had to do was call and we would have explained the 5 min delay was due to my injury. But instead the arrogant nature of leaving us shows we already paid so who cares! Horrible.
