Amazing experience! - We had an amazing trip thanks to Michael and Melvig. There sense of humour made the tour so much fun and Michaels knowledge gave us so much information. Melvigs driving skills were phenomenal and we had the best time!

Great experience - We were picked up from our hotel. The driver and guide Michael were very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this tour. Very interesting and great demonstration of the volcano's power. Absolutely outstanding driving through the landscape.

An absolute must when visiting Lanzarote - This was the best trip I have ever been on, made so by the wealth of knowledge and amazing wit of our brilliant tour guide Michael and lovely, talented driver Manuel. Timanfaya was spectacular. The scenery breathtaking, but Michael and his passion for the area made this tour exceptional. We learnt so much about Lanzarote, how the volcanos erupted for 6 years the I700s, how Lanzarote changed during this time, how no water goes to waste, what an amazing advocate Cesar Manrique was for the island and how the different types of lava formed the landscapes.Truly amazing, thank you so much, we will never forget itš

Great experience - Tony was an excellent guide and made the tour interesting. Tourwas the right length for a family with older children and the camels were a highlight for us.
We had collection from the port as there were a lot of people from our ship who had booked. If you are offered port pickup, make sure that you go out of the security gate and turn left (only way you can go) and the coach will be on the right with the car rental office.
As they're an independent operator, they can't go inside the security gate.
This initially caused some confusion as there was a car rental kiosk in front of the ship where we docked.

Skip the queues, take a coach. - Comfy coach, prompt pickup and convenient drop-off.
Our guide 'Tony' was excellent, blending history, geology, agriculture and humour with the occasional existential question.
Coaches get priority over cars at Timanfaya, meaning minimal queues. The journey itself is fantastic and the stopoffs worthwhile. I was travelling with my 11 year old son and the duration was ideal for him. We both said we'd have liked a little more time to take in the destinations, but understand the fast turnaround in the national park itself.
Camel ride is an extra at a reasonable enough 11Euro per person at the time of writing.
If you want the volcano fired barbecue at Timanfaya, you'll want to go independently.
Happy with the value and service throughout.

Excellent short trip experience - Great short experience of timanfaya national park to include stop for camel ride (ā¬11 extra) and winery. Bus driver was amazing navigating around the park and tour guide was excellent and full of humour and knowledge! Good value for money. We got going in the morning and were dropped back at the hotel to still enjoy numerous hours by the pool.

Good tour but some improvements would be it better - Excursion was good and it was good having Tony guide us and letting us know lots knowledge about the local area. We can also see why itās recommended to use a coach rather than rent a car. Only issue was the confusion over the pick up point at the cruise port. They were very vague and several people had asked for exact pick up point but were all told to wait by car rental place. Little did we know there was 2 close by. 1 being right outside where we got off the ship but none of us were told we have to walk outside the security gates as they werenāt allowed in since they were independent operators. I personally wish they had a better description of what to expect on the trip just so we had more of an idea. I asked a few people if they knew what was expected and they didnāt know either. It also would have been nice to have more time after the demonstrations. We only had 10 or 20 mins so had to choose between buying something to eat or using the bathroom which wasnāt much time at all when we had 2 kids with us and the size of the queues. But overall the excursion was good but poor Tony had to get the brunt of angry tourists when it wasnāt his fault about the misunderstanding.

Half day trip to Timanfaya - Easy to book - picked up at hotel in Playa Blanca - double decker bus was full and had multiple stops - had a mix of tours on the bus so had to stop to let off people going on other excursions so they could swap buses. After that we started our tour which was really interesting. Enjoyed the dynamic Volcano tour (canāt do it in your car you have to be on a tour bus) the road cut through the lava fields and up to the craters of volcanos giving you a panoramic view of the material park - informative commentary throughout. Camel rides optional extra, wine tasting at another spot. Because this was half day no stop was more than 30mins which sounds hurried but the pace was fine. Got back to hotel 2pm. Worth the time to see and learn about the Island holds attention of teens better than a full dayā¦

Slow & group too large - Timanfaya is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth visiting.
However, the tour company used a double decker bus so the group size was like 50+, one tour guide. Just the pick up of all the people from different locations was like 70+ minutes, which was really boring and tedious, drop off also took a while. The tour guide only started speaking after everyone was on board. Next time I would probably choose a smaller company if I can find one.
