• Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign - The iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is not just a symbol of the city but also a testament to its history. Constructed and installed in 1959 by Western Electric Displays, also known as Western Neon, based in Las Vegas, the sign was a project under contract with Clark County. Betty Willis, an employee of Western Neon, is credited with designing this legendary sign. The total cost to build and install the sign was $4,000.

• Seven Magic Mountains - If you’re in Las Vegas and looking for a unique and colorful backdrop for your photos, consider taking a 30-minute drive to the Seven Magic Mountains. Situated in the desert near Las Vegas, this art installation features seven towering stacks of fluorescent rocks. Renowned Swiss contemporary artist Ugo Rondinone conceived and established this captivating exhibit, and it has remained an iconic presence since its debut in 2016.

• Hoover Dam - The drive from Seven Magic Mountains to Hoover Dam takes approximately 50 minutes.

Hoover Dam, completed in 1935, is a gravity arch dam situated in Black Canyon, downstream of the Grand Canyon, in the middle of the Colorado River along the Nevada-Arizona border. It stands at a height of 221 meters and spans 411 meters in length. The construction of this dam was undertaken as a job creation initiative during the Great Depression.

As a result of the dam’s completion, Lake Mead, an artificial reservoir stretching 185 kilometers, was formed. Hoover Dam, originally named Boulder Dam, was renamed in 1947 in honor of Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States. This iconic structure not only serves as a significant source of water supply but also contributes to electricity generation, playing a crucial role in the region’s development.

• Grand Canyon West - The drive from Hoover Dam to the Grand Canyon West Rim takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

During the journey, we had the opportunity to stop at the Joshua Tree Forest to capture some memorable photos. The unique landscape of the Joshua trees provided a picturesque backdrop for our adventure.

Additionally, we enjoyed a picnic lunch along the way, taking in the natural beauty of the surroundings and fueling up for the exciting experiences ahead.

The Grand Canyon West Rim holds a rich history, being the ancestral home of the Hualapai Indians for centuries. This area preserves the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon, showcasing the vibrant colors and intricate rock formations sculpted over thousands of years by the Colorado River. Notably, the Grand Canyon West Rim is the only section of the canyon where aircraft can access the bottom for landing, providing a truly unique perspective of this awe-inspiring natural wonder.

• Guano Point - 4. Guano Point — This is the area where guano (bat droppings) was mined in a cave across the valley back in 1957, adding a unique historical touch to the site. Surrounded by the picturesque landscapes, you can marvel at the magnificent and astonishing creations shaped by the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River. Guano Point, situated at one of the highest points of the Grand Canyon West Rim, offers spectacular panoramic views, especially during various times of the day, including breathtaking sunsets and sunrises.

• Grand Canyon Skywalk - 1. Eagle Point / Skywalk —- Welcome to Eagle Point, the first destination at the Grand Canyon West Rim. This location is renowned for its distinctive rock formation resembling an eagle. Here, you will have the opportunity to witness the beauty of the Grand Canyon firsthand. Particularly notable is the unique rock shape that leaves a captivating impression on visitors.

At Eagle Point, you can also embark on the Skywalk, a special experience that allows you to stroll along a U-shaped glass floor, known as the Skywalk, suspended 1,200 meters above the canyon. This optional and exhilarating activity offers a unique chance to experience the heart of the Grand Canyon from a breathtaking vantage point.
