57 mi of Bliss and Adventure - When you first get there it’s a very nice scene all around you. Once on the river the rapids are very fun and scary. They throw you in the air and splash you like with no mercy. It really is an unforgettable experience. About 30 or so minutes in you get out to hike for a little bit and as you hike you see a small water fall and once you’re fully in the crevasse you reach the main water fall and it’s one of the most beautiful scenes you’ll ever experience. After all the rapids and lunch break and snack break the rest of the way is calm and peaceful. Our tour guide Johnson was a great guy who shared a lot of facts and jokes with us. 10/10 would go again.

Exciting day rafting - Was a bumpy ride to the water but Michael made it informative and great! Bradyn was our raft guide and made the rapids exciting as we learned about the grand canyon and the haulapai reservation. Well fed and plenty of water all day! Long day but was 100 percent worth it!

Do not miss out on this Rafting trip if you are in Las Vegas/ Grand Canyon West! - We went for the one day rafting trip down the Colorado River (only this company does the one day). It was great. I think our guide was Fernando, nice young really professional one. The first part of the trip is through the different river grades 2-8 and is rafting with a motor engine but do not worry you do get wet, no one escapes it. Front row one gets more of it and even get to taste the muddy water of the Grand Canyon, back row gets wet but will not be dry that is for sure. Then comes the quiet and look around scenery of the Grand Canyon where you can take your camera out no problem for the next 2-3 hours as there is no more big grade river and is more of a relaxing ride looking up at the canyon and having some history of the place. enjoying a lunch and snacks.
Our guide was awesome. we event went for a cool down period beside the raft in the canyon. They provided plenty of food and drink along the journey. It is a most if you do have time but do not book flight on the same day as sometime there might be delay if it rains and they have to reconstruct the road to allow you passage.... Certainly was worth.
(It is run by the nation people, so would have been great to have an option to be able to taste their traditional food if any could be eaten cold). They also pick you up at your own accomodation in Las Vegas which is great!

Amazing day in the canyon - From our early morning 420am Vegas pickup (Jeff the driver was awesome and let us sleep along the way), it was a really accessible way to see the Grand Canyon in one day - the weather was warm, the views were good, and we were home at 6pm for a night out on the town. Two thumbs up.

A must do! - Well organised, good communication (thanks Randy) excellent memories, a must do!
This was our second time doing this awesome experience! If you're staying near the strip be prepared for an early start that is absolutely worth it.
We had a 4am pickup from Vdara hotel and when we got the the Hualapai lodge, there was around an hour's bumpy journey down to the river.
Once there we got our life jackets on, put our valuables in the dry bags and set off down the river with our excellent, and very knowledgeable guide, Brady.
We hit 8 rapids, and a few ripples that felt like rapids! They were so fun and the water was like ice! When that first wall of ice water hit us, it took our breath away.
Part way down we stopped off to have a little hike and climb into the cave with a waterfall inside. It was beautiful up there so be sure to take a camera.
After the rapids we had a long time on flat water with a stop off for lunch and a swim.
Thankfully I brought my own food as no vegan option was provided for me even though it was mentioned twice on the booking we made through Viator. If you have any special requests I'd recommend contacting them directly to make sure the message gets through.
Lunch was perfect for my partner as she prefers plain food and the sauce came separately to the ham and cheese sandwich.
A little further along we were allowed to get off and have a swim again. The water is very cold and lovely in the blazing heat so I would recommend having that dip.
Couple of things to note to make it as enjoyable as possible.
You will get wet! Dress appropriately and consider dry fit underwear as travelling back to the hotel with a soggy bottom isn't the most comfortable thing to do.
Sun protection will wash off so be prepared to reapply regularly!
I wore clothes that covered my whole body so only had the top of my feet burn thankfully.
Eye protection needed as you will get grit in your eyes.
The water is cold and will take your breath away when that wave crashes over you, after that it's not as much of a shock when it hits.
Wear grippy shoes for the climb. I wore crocs but will invest in proper canyoning shoes for next time.
Go pro users, learn from our mistakes.
Take spare batteries in a waterproof case.
Wrist mount is probably the best option for front views as ours is pretty much all on the couple facing us on the raft.
Secure your camera or risk losing it. Don't make the mistake of another passenger and not secure your GoPro. His flew up and amazingly, his guide caught it! Lucky guy!
We are looking forward to doing this again when we return next year. Thanks Brady for an awesome experience

DO NOT BOOK THIS EXCURSION - Our transportation was provided by Randy, van driven by Jeff. Van could not exceed 50mph and shook violently(3+hr drive)Engine light came own and Jeff did not have a cell phone. I called Randy who was no help and showed little concern for our safety. We did eventually make it back to the hotel. Horrible transportation! Horrible customer service!DO NOT BOOK THIS EXCURSION!!
