Great Museum for the Olympics - We have seen a few sports museums around the world but this one is easily one of the best. It has a nice open floor plan and extensive exhibits without being too overwhelming or cluttered. We appreciated how they presented some of the most important events and people for Olympic history, the inclusion of videos and the memorabilia from all eras of modern Olympic History.
The museum has an accessible design with a long sloping ramp in the centre that allows access to all floors. They have a restaurant and a cafe in the building but my favourite feature was the gift shop that seemed to sell literally everything from all Olympics. They had mascots, posters and all sorts of collectibles that would be enough for any fan.
The cost to enter is 20 CHF and it is easy to spend 2-3 hours here depending on the interest level. They have lockers that give back the coin deposit once you return the key. We found street parking out front to be reasonable and had many stops prior to this on a busy day as we completed a road trip around Switzerland. Outside there is a sculpture park and we enjoyed a nice sunset over the water before driving to Geneva.

Great museum! - Really nice collection of items from the Olympic Games. Starts with a rendering of the Ancient games in Greece. Explains how the modern games were conceptualized and supported. Great display of uniforms and equipment used in the games from about 1940 to today. There was an Opening Ceremony film that compiled so many ceremonies over the past 40 years. Really liked the personal stories of hundreds of Olympians available to read in the interactive displays complete with videos and personal stories. Can be covered in an hour. Grounds are beautiful, right along Lake Geneva. Highly recommend if you’re in Lausanne!

A must-do activity! - The Olympic Museum in Lausanne is excellent—well-curated, interactive, and full of fascinating artifacts. The exhibits are engaging without being overwhelming, and the views over Lac Léman are a bonus. A must-see in the city. ★★★★★

A must for sport fans! - Such a great museum! Tells the history of the Olympics from the ancient greeks (with plenty of real artefacts) throught the establishment of the modern olympics to the present day. Loads of memorabilia, including torches, medals, mascots, uniforms, shoes, equipment and even the arrow that lit the torch in Barcelona! All well laid out and easy to follow, with plenty of information in English - I could have spent hours reading everything!
Fabulous location looking out over the lake, with the steps, statues, medal podium, and some event set ups, such as the high jump bar and 100m track, so you can compare yourself with the world record holders!
Only downside was that the shop was super-expensive, I had hoped to buy a lot of souvenirs but just ended up with a few postcards and a lanyard.

A magnificent vist - The different rooms allow us to trace the history of the Olympic Games from antiquity to the Games of Bets through the renaissance with Pierre de Coubertin. The screens, present, do not take over. The collections (medals, Olympic torches, outfits...) are fantastic. The temporary exhibition is very fun. A place for young and old. To do in less than 2 hours because of the drastic parking conditions.

Nice history-view of the Olympic Games - A nice experience to see the collection and the history of the Olympic Games. Expected something more, but it was a nice/fun experience due the rain.

Interesting and informative but not interactive - The museum is in beautiful surroundings with some great sculptures and track and field equipment in the grounds.
The museum itself is very informative on the Olympic history with some fantastic sporting paraphernalia to view. The collection of medals through the years was amazing.
It's not very interactive and I would not recommend for smaller children or if you don't like reading information panels

A museum to do - We learn a lot in this rather modern museum without its scenography.
The park and its many statues (free) is worth the walk.
The shop offers a large selection of products and against all expectations, prices are correct
