As we strolled through the park, I couldn’t help but think of Empress Sisi and Emperor Franz Joseph, who spent their honeymoon here. The park’s romantic ambiance is palpable, and it’s easy to see why it was chosen as a royal retreat. We took a leisurely boat ride on the pond, soaking in the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings. The park also offers a panorama train and several restaurants where one can indulge in local specialties, making it a perfect blend of history and leisure.

Bratislava Castle: A Fortress of Legends

Our final stop was Bratislava Castle, a site that has been fortified for thousands of years. Originally a defensive fortress, it was transformed into a Renaissance-Gothic palace in the 15th century.
