The best option for a hike to Le Morne mountain, without any doubt! - I had a lovely hike to the amazing Le Morne mountain. An amazing time that will forever be on my mind!
Bryn is, without any doubt, the best option to do this hike, I contacted him per email and everything went perfect! Picked me up from the Hotel at Le Morne. He gave us a lot of information about the mountain and also about Mauritius. He also took a lot of pictures from us and made everything to assure us the best experience! Many thanks Bryn James! Hope to see you again soon!!

The best tour of Le Morne Brabant - We could not have asked for a better hiking experience than we had with Bryn.
We didn't actually know in advance that his family own the land around the mountain and work hard to ensure its sustainability year round, not to mention that Bryn is an extremely experienced and qualified mountaineer and spends some of his 'free time' providing mountainside assistance for those in need.
Bryn is exceptionally passionate and delighted in sharing the history and details about local flora & fauna with us. He also took some fantastic photos of our group which we'll treasure.
If you're looking for a guide for this trip, look no further that Explorers Mauritius; you're in incredibly safe hands.

Beautiful and with a top guide - We had a magical moment thanks to Bryn’s professionalism. He knew how to reassure us, explain us to pass the 4 climbing passages (always with 3 grip points, 2 hands and 1 foot or 1 hand and 2 feet). We were surprised to leave at 5am but we understood why... the heat is quickly unbearable in this summer period. The hike is splendid and the view too. In the afternoon, he sent us beautiful photos and a top video! We recommend 100%
Thanks again Bryn and maybe see you soon for another hike.

The most amazing, safe and sustainable hike - Amazing experience with our guide Bryn James! He is a very experienced and motivated guide that works as a mountain rescuer and helped us through all the challenging passages. He knows everything about the history and nature of Le Morne but also other parts of Mauritius and you can feel how the loves the island! He went up the mountain with us via family-owned land that is protected from mass tourism, and he and his family try to protect the nature around Le Morne and ensure a tourism that is sustainable.
We also had to get up early but it was definitely worth it! When we went down, it was super hot and a lot of inexperienced tourists were crowding on the difficult passages. (Bryn is also the person that is called in case of an emergency on the hill, so you really feel safe with him)
If you want to go up the Le Morne, go with Brynn and it will be amazing, funny and safe. Brynn climbed up vertical to the other part of the „V“ to make sure we get the best and high quality images and videos on the top of the Le Morne. He also made a lot of photos and videos during our hike, so our GoPro was not used a lot and we could focus on the climbing and the amazing nature.

Breathtaking walk at dawn! - We left at dawn, so it wasn't too hot. After a bumpy ride with the 4X4 we were able to get started. Our guide Bryn explained the history of the island, the fauna and the flora, very interesting! It was a challenging climb up on all fours on steeper parts, but thanks to the calm appearance and the good guidelines of our guide we reached the top without much difficulty. What a breathtaking view up there! It was fantastic! And no fear of heights thanks to Bryn's expert guidance!

Small steps - Our group of 4 relatively fit 57-66 year olds completed this hike. It was not easy. It was, however, exhilarating! Our guide, Bryn, has a special link to this landscape that no other guide can boast—- and he is passionate about showing it off and preserving it. His passion infects those in his care and even the hiker with little or no experience can conquer this mountain when guided by this force of nature named Bryn. We spent our entire week looking up at Le Morne wondering “how in the world are we going to get ourselves to the top of THAT?”—- and afterwards, whilst swimming at LeMorne beach, we kept looking up with pride and wonder at our achievement. A real life memory was made. Thank you, Bryn. “Small steps!”

The ONLY way to hike Le Morne - an amazing and exhilarating experience - The only way to hike Le Morne, Our guide Bryn makes it safe and exhilarating in equal measure. It is a strenuous activity and not for the faint hearted - however with Bryn by your side it is a truly amazing and breath taking experience. A memorable hike - thank you Bryn.

Physical security ok but guide too imbued with itself - I did the Le Morne course this Sunday 13 January with Bryn as my guide. Physically and climbing, Bryn is professional and competent. I was reassured during the slippery and peaky passages, he does not hesitate to help you position your feet. On the other hand, HUGE cultural DISAPPOINTMENT. The guide is not a Mauritian and has lived there for 20 years, talking constantly about the Mauritian government criticizing it and the Mauritians. It is heavy and painful for the tourist who did not come here for that. Moreover, he completely denies the history of Le Morne (slavery, browning) and discloses false information to preserve his personal interests. This aspect disgusted me, next time I will make sure to take a LOCAL guide even if less trained in mountain rescue, or hike the public trail simply.
