Beautiful Experience with Paulo being the best host imaginable - Paulo is the best host you can think of. We asked one million questions about sailing, Porto and the region - and we could really see in his answers how passionate and knowledgeable he is.
The sailing route itself goes along the coast and then upriver until we reached the infamous bridge where people cross the Douro. The full journey takes approx. 3 hours and in case you get thirsty, search for a toilette or you get a little seasick in the meantime - Paulo got you covered.
Thanks for a beautiful day on the boat 🙂

The good of life - Great late afternoon and sunset. We went from Porto de Leixões to Ribeira and were able to enjoy a beautiful, inspiring and fun trip accompanied by good music, sunshine and wonderful views. The entire crew was very attentive and available. A very beautiful and different walk than usual where you could enjoy the company and, at the same time, be in contact with nature! I Liked it a lot. Thank you!!

Scenic view of Porto, from a lovely sailboat - It was an incredible experience for both sailors and non-sailors. A smooth ride down the Atlantic coast of Porto and up the Douro river, till the medieval old harbour in one shore and the Port wine sellers on the other. The Diva is a beautiful sailboat with an exquisite interior design by Phillipe Stark. Paulo, our captain for the day, is an extremely nice and experienced seaman, as well as a great local guide. No rush, just pure sailing and pleasure.

Excellent - Ricardo was fantastic, and the weather was perfect. We took a cab from our hotel to the marina where the boat was docked, called Paolo and waited by the assigned gate. There was only one other couple besides us.

A fantastic time and experience...even in the wind and rain! - We scheduled our sailing trip aboard the Diva for the last full day we would all be in Porto, so unfortunately we could not reschedule when we found out that the weather forecast was for wind and rain. The other three members of my group decided to go shopping instead of sailing and when we returned to our AirBnB that evening they were very envious when I showed them the pictures of the boat and told them of my adventure aboard the Diva with Captain Paolo!
Paolo loves to sail and is also a great instructor - which is very good since it was just the two of us and a bit windy and rainy. I learned some good fundamentals of sailing and also learned about Porto as well.
The Diva is a beautiful boat - and even if the weather isn't great, the cabin is incredibly comfortable and anyone who does not wish to actively participate in the sailing can easily relax down below, have a great view of the sea and the shore, and enjoy some excellent snacks and drinks.
The next time I return to Porto I will definitely look forward to being back aboard the Diva!
Obrigado!

Amazing, must-do! - We booked this tour after being told by multiple people to book Douro river tour cruise and were not disappointed. We boarded the sail boat with 2 other couples and were off sailing to the douro. It was relaxing and very informative. The skipper was very knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely enjoys sailing. See the city from the river, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing! - If you are looking to do a tour of the water, book this! We wanted to get out on the water, but didn’t want to take a typical tourist boat tour that you see along the Douro River, so went with this and were very pleased. We would recommend in a heartbeat!

Great Sailing Trip; Wonderful Leader - We wanted an experience that was different than the tour boats on the Douro River with 50 people. This sailing trip with just 5 of us was a wonderful way to relax in a very hectic tourist area. Our guide was knowledgeable and had been sailing since he was 6 years old. We spent time on the ocean and time on the river. It was a great way to see Porto and Gaia from a new perspective.
We wish we had received more information about the name of the boat, the name of our guide, the length of the trip, and where exactly to meet. My email inquiry was never answered.

Boat trip on the river Douro - Very foggy when we left and returned to slip but river was fog free and nice. Although our young captain was very experienced, being a boater, I would have expected him to go over safety measures before we left. If you go on a foggy day, reconsider. Going through the channel and up the coast in the ocean in very dense fog is not for inexperienced boaters.

Sailing not so much - Very disappointed the sails never went up. Wind was a bit strong but with only 1 crew and 5 passengers it wouldn't have been the wise to try and sail. The skipper was about as nice as could be. A young man with a goal of sailing for his country in the Olympics. Nice to be around a young person reaching for a dream. The boat was in good shape and did have choices for beverages. I would have rather had the trip cancelled and taken one of the many river boats that were right on the river. Sailing is always subject to weather and I would have preferred this was cancelled as I wanted to be under sail.
