Vidigal Tour with Russo - My girlfriend and I loved the tour in Vidigal with Russo! He is an amazing guide, very attentive and made us feel safe throughout the tour. We learned a lot about the community, met locals and tried the delicious food. The views of Rio are breathtaking! It's totally worth it!

Best favela tour guide - Me and my girlfriend had the Vidigal tour with Russo, he is a-one-of-a-kind guide: always helping and telling us infos about the area and its history, and you can truly see that he is from there. He was very accomodating regarding our needs and we had a fantastic tour (even despite the pouring rain). I would recommend this activity to everybody and congrats to Russo for the amazing experience you made us have!

Highlight of our trip to Rio - This was the highlight of our trip to Rio, Russo was an excellent guide, we were a little concerned about safety, but Russo made us feel completely safe. Everyone we bumped into was incredibly friendly and knew who he was. It was really interesting to hear about growing up in a favela and how it’s changed over the years. Half way through we took motor taxis to the top and had a beer with an unbelievable view across Vidigal and Ipanema. I would highly recommend this tour.

I enjoyed the Vidigal... - I enjoyed the Vidigal tour with Russo a lot. The tour provides a lot of insights into the life in the Favela, with Russo being able to draw a lot from his own experience having lived there his entire life. Moreover, the views from the Favela onto Ipanema and the Sugar loaf mountain are unrivalled. Lastly, the steepness of the Favela is a good exercise although we took the Moto taxi on the way up for the most part.

Russo is the ultimate guide! - Russo was amazing. He lived in the favela his whole life and made me feel safe and welcome. At no time did I ever feel like I was in any danger. The history and culture of the neighborhood was interesting. This is a great way to experience urban Brazilian culture.

Favela tour with Russo - The Favela tour through Vidigal was amazing! Great and very impressive experience. Russo was the perfect guide!. He lives his whole life there and simply knew everything about it. We got many interesting facts and deep background knowledge. We had great conversations! Amazing experience - Russo truly goes above and beyond. He showed us tons of sites and views, along with relevant history along the way. He even helped document our time there by taking pictures and videos. This was an amazing tour through and through. I implore anyone to give this tour a try, it will be a great addition to your time in Rio, and is the best way to see Vidigal.

RUSSO VIDIGAL - very knowledgeable guide in the area, very friendly and speaks both Portuguese and English... he let us take lots of photos and took us to places that we would not have been able to visit without him.. GRAZIE RUSSO 🇮🇹 🇧🇷

Best view of Rio - The native favela guide was very good! Flexible and available, we had a nice visit with him. The view alone is worth it! Note: the tour includes a part of a few minutes of motorcycle taxi included in the tour.
