SUPER GREAT EXPERIENCE! - OMgosh! This excursion was incredible! Ally, our guide, was absolutely amazing! She was SO knowledgeable and super friendly. During our outing, we saw two stingrays, many seaturtles, and seven sharks (harmless--baby lemon and adult nurse). We did let a little rain put a damper on our fun! I would highly recommend!

Loved the early morning Kayak Eco Tour! - Get up early for the Kayak Eco Tour! What a beautiful morning kayaking through the mangroves to see turtles, baby lemon sharks, stingrays, birds, and iguanas on "their" island. We highly recommend this peaceful excursion.

Highly recommended - We ended up being the only ones on the tour and had a fabulous time with our guide, Hugo. He took his time to tell us about the animal life and plants. We saw turtles, sharks and some baby barracudas. All were friendly but in a I-won't-bite-you-kind of way. Highly recommended.

Our guide Mitch was warm, knowledgeable, flexible, and kind - Whether you’ve never ocean kayaked before or are an old pro, Mitch will get you geared up in either a double or solo kayak (your choice) and off to explore the white and red mangroves across the way and learn how they protect the area against erosion and the lessons learned in other parts of the world where they’ve been removed for development. There you may see turtles, conchs, and pelicans. Then off to Iguana Island—a reserve for the native Iguana population—where you’ll learn about how they survive without a source of fresh water. In total, about 8km (5 miles) of paddling to work off some of that resort excess! Highly recommended.

Great Views, Great Experience, Great Guides - Excellent experience with great views of the mangroves and all of the wildlife in them. Even though it was very windy our tour was great and we saw so many things. Remember to bring plenty of sunscreen and bug spray just in case.

Grear trip but too many other craft - We loved the idea of this trip, billed as an eco tour. We were there Easter weekend. A kayak across to see iguanas on an isolated island and then through mangroves to see turtles and hopefully baby sharks. I had a vision of sympathetic intrusion. Our guide was great l, only a few people at the iguana island and then we kayaked back and we did see turtles in quiet water before the mangroves. But was then astounded by the amount of other craft, 50 to 100 see-through canoes and paddleboards with other companies all squeezing through mangroves and hovering over the shallow turtle and baby shark area. Some getting into the water. Surely this can't be eco friendly with such a fragile environment. I'm not knocking Big Blue but it's supposed to be a nature reserve. Please preserve it.

Nice value and a pleasant afternoon - Really excellent knowledge of plant life and eco-systems by our guide. It was nice to learn a lot about the history of the region and current issues. Paddling was easy for all members of our family and there was a nice breeze. One small suggestion: perhaps a bit less hearing "I don't mean to lecture, but..." and maybe a bit more on the different birds we were able to see up close. But overall this is really a nice value and a pleasant afternoon.
