Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La 17,582 ft. (127 km / 7-9 hrs)
Khardung La - After an early breakfast, you’ll check out and head to Nubra Valley via the 11th highest motorable road in the world, the mighty Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft.). This pass is almost always covered in fog and snow, but the bone-chilling cold is more than compensated by the unparalleled view of the Ladakh mountain range. Descending from Khardung La, you’ll arrive in Nubra Valley.
Nubra Valley to Tso Pangong (13,943 ft.) via Shyok River (170 km / 7-9 hrs)

The first glimpse of the tranquil, azure blue waters and the shaky lakeshore of Tso Pangong remains etched in tourists’ memories. The magic of Pangong Lake lies in its changing hues as the sun hovers over it. It is probably the bluest and most crystal-clear lake you have ever seen, home to many migratory birds, including ducks, geese, and the rare Black-necked Crane. Surprisingly, the lake lies only partially in India, with a major portion in China-occupied areas. In winter, the entire lake freezes, allowing you to walk over it.
