Arrival in Leh, Ladakh

Leh - Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. It’s crucial to rest for the entire day to acclimate and avoid high altitude sickness. The elevation change from sea level to 3500 meters is significant, and your body will need a few days to adjust. Drink plenty of water and avoid over-exertion while exploring Leh. Sham Valley Tour with Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace

Hall of Fame - The Hall of Fame is a museum built by the Indian Army to honor the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Indo-Pak wars. Located on the Leh-Kargil Road, about 4km from Leh, the museum has two stories with various sections. The upper floor features the OP Vijay Gallery, showcasing weapons used in the Kargil war and arms captured by the Indian Army. Another section displays apparel and amenities used by the Indian Army in the Siachen region, including pictures of army posts, living accommodations, and training processes on ice walls.

Gurdwara Pathar Sahib - Located 25 miles from Leh on the Kargil Leh Highway, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib is a revered site dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. Dating back to 1517, the Gurudwara houses a boulder with imprints of Guru Nanak Dev’s head, shoulders, and back. It is a pilgrimage site for Sikh, Hindu, and Tibetan devotees, who worship the deity as Lama Nanak or Guru Gompa Maharaj. A legend associated with the place adds to its significance.

Magnetic Hill - One of the intriguing sights in Leh-Ladakh is Magnetic Hill, where gravity seems to defy itself. Located about 30 km from Leh, the hill is marked by a yellow signboard that reads “The Phenomenon That Defies Gravity.” Visitors are instructed to park their vehicles in a designated box on the road, where the vehicles appear to move forward at a speed of almost 20km/h.

Leh Royal Palace - Also known as Lachen Palkar Palace, Leh Palace is a former royal residence overlooking the city of Leh. Built around 1600 by Sengge Namgyal, the palace offers panoramic views of Leh and its surroundings from its rooftop. The Palace Museum houses a rich collection of jewelry, ornaments, and Thangkas, including Chinese Thangka paintings over 450 years old.

Shanti Stupa - Shanti Stupa is a white-domed Buddhist stupa located on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh. Built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura as part of the Peace Pagoda mission, it enshrines relics of the Buddha at its base, consecrated by the 14th Dalai Lama.

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass
