We’ll start with a visit to the majestic Astorga Cathedral. Enjoy a self-guided tour with a Spanish audio guide included in your trip. The Astorga Cathedral holds prominence in the Leonese track of the Way of St. James. Inside, you’ll find artistic gems like magnificent choir stalls and a Renaissance masterpiece in the form of the main altarpiece. Adjacent to the cathedral stands Astorga’s Episcopal Palace. Seems like we’ve mistaken our location for Barcelona, given the palace’s striking similarity with Catalan modernism - but, fear not, we’re still in the province of León. The Astorgano Palace’s design is a brainchild of Antonio Gaudí. Following your walk-through of this modernist structure, we will head back to León. Please note, there is no tour guide assistance from León.
