  • Museo Romano de Astorga - We leave León and following the route of the pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago, we will pass through the Órbigo area, an agricultural area par excellence. We arrived in Astorga, city founded by the Romans and capital of the maragatería.
    Arrival. Visit of the Roman Museum, then visit on foot of the Roman Route, until 1:30 p.m. At the end of the same free time until 2:00 pm we will return to León.

This tour will take us on a journey through the extensive history of the town, with a visit to the Roman Museum La Ergástula scheduled. Here, we’ll unearth ancient apparel, work instruments, and other items from the old Legion, giving us a deeper insight into the lifestyle in this region of the Iberian Peninsula during ancient times. After a thorough museum exploration, we’ll embark on a guided exploration of the Roman route, where numerous archaeological leftovers peppering the city can be sighted. Post this expedition, there’s free time allocated for leisurely strolling around Astorga before the departure time. (An accompanying guide from León is not available)
