Highlights of Provence - I had an amazing day touring Provence from Marseille and Aix. We went to Les Baux, Pont du Gard, Avignon, and a wine tour in Chateauneuf du Pape (also got to see the old castle). Sebastien was so knowledgeable with excellent English. The van comes with a microphone so everyone can hear very well. I learned a lot about the history and geography of the area. Our tour of 6 were all solo travelers who ended up choosing to have a lovely sit down lunch in Avignon. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a great overview of Provence in limited time. Not a good itinerary if you want to actually enter museums etc., but I loved making the most of the 1 day I had. I walked almost 14k steps, so plan accordingly.

A day in Provence… - **Review of A la Française Provence Tour 🌿🍷** Just returned from an incredible day exploring Provence with A la Française! Our guide, Marion, made the experience unforgettable with her extensive knowledge and passion for the region. We kicked off our adventure in the charming city of Aix-en-Provence, wandering through its picturesque streets and vibrant markets. Marion shared fascinating insights about the local culture and pointed out artisanal shops that showcased the best of Provence. Next, we visited the stunning Château des Baux-de-Provence, a historical gem dating back to the 10th century. It was amazing to learn that 22 descendants of the original family still live there today! The views from the castle were absolutely breathtaking, giving us a perfect backdrop for photos. 📸 After that, we marveled at the impressive Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct that left us in awe. Marion provided captivating details about its history and significance, making our visit even more special. Our tour continued to the iconic Palais des Papes in Avignon, where Marion brought a smile to our faces by singing the beloved children's song "Sur Le Pont D’Avignon." She also gave us great tips on where to eat, with so many delightful options around the Palais. A highlight of the day was the wine tasting at Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where we visited the renowned Château de Pape winery. Marion’s expertise in wines was remarkable as she guided us through a selection of exquisite wines, capturing the true essence of Provence. 🍇🍷 Overall, the A la Française Provence tour was a perfect blend of history, culture, and gastronomy. I can't recommend this experience enough for anyone looking to explore the beautiful landscapes and rich heritage of Provence! #Provence #ALaFrançaise #WineTasting #ChâteauneufduPape #PontduGard #AixEnProvence #TravelGoals #ExploreFrance #HistoricalSites #WineLover #TravelDiary #Wanderlust

Aix-Baux-PontduGard-Avignon-Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Day long trip from Aix to Avignon with some great stops along the way. The drive provides a good opportunity to see the countryside and is broken up nicely. We had a dinner reservation in Avignon and requested to be dropped off rather than travel back to Aix-en Provence. It worked out beautifully. Sebastian was a wonderful guide - friendly & knowledgeable. .

Great tour. - Full on trip but really enjoyable. Adrien was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. You get time on your own when visiting les Baux, le pont du Gard and Avignon, and time spent in the car is dedicated to talking about all you're going to see and do on your own. Suited us perfectly.

Amazing Provence - Our wonderful guide was the most exceptional part of the trip. Her knowledge and easy way of imparting it, made for a fantastic day. The sheer age of some of what we saw was breathtaking for us from the new world. The wonderful views of the aqueduct, the walled city of Avignon and the cliffyop village were all amazing. All this topped off by the winery Châteauneuf-du-pape made our day joyous. But none would have been as good without our lovely guide.

Beauty everywhere - Scenic views of the blue water were abundant. Variation of locations provided a thorough capsule of the area. The 8 person van is an optimal size group. Guide knowledgeable of the area and the history of the region. Although it was a long day, the overview of the area was a worthwhile day trip.

Great tour and a great way to see the area - The tour is a great way to see a number of the highlights of Provence in a day whist enjoying the ride with a knowledgeable guide. It was great to get to Les Baux before most of the tourists did as it is very scenic- we just had enough time to go around le Château but we did have to walk fast! Pont du Gard was probably the highlight, an amazing structure to still be standing from Roman times.

Magnificent! - Jen was a spectacular guide with knowledge of every where we stopped as well as the journey to get there. We could have spent more time in both Les Baux and Avignon but we got a taste of both places and will be back. The wine tasting ending our day in Provence was awesome. We highly recommend this tour!

Minibus taxi around Provence - Not so much of a guided tour as a minibus ride (8 people of various nationalities) to several locations where you’re left to look around on your own. Suited us, but quite expensive at €133 each. Visit to a Chateauneuf du Pape winery for tasting was a disappointment, and not a great advert for one of the world’s best wine regions.
