Good excursion from cruise ship. - Denise was a great tour guide and provided good commentary along the entire tour. Overall it was a good shore excursion but you need to plan that restrooms are challenging, the lunch was fine, but the restaurant seemed overwhelmed.

Essential excursion if you are in Alesund - Essential excursion if you visit Alesund. Stunning scenery, from the fjords to stunning mountains, with amazing views. Norway Excursions has seemed to me a serious and Pro company, and especially our Guide Sandra, giving all kinds of explanations during the tour, making the tour very enjoyable. Thanks for everything Sandra!!!

Fantastic! - We had a great time exploring the Trolligsten area despite not being able to drive the road itself (which I'm kinda glad about!). The area was a lot less busy than usual which made taking photos easier and allowed us more time at each stop. Lunch was a great buffet (the salmon is delicious!) and there wasn't really any other options so I'd suggest including it.

Not what we expected… - We booked this tour before Trollstigen was closed for the season. We received an email from the company telling us about the closure. In hindsight, we should have cancelled. The tour length was the same as originally advertised, but with only a portion of the content. We spent 40 minutes at the viewing platform and an hour and a half at a cafe for lunch. We had purchased the lunch option for 20 Euros. What we were served for lunch at the cafe could have been purchased for less than the 20 Euros, and we could have purchased what we wanted instead of choosing from selected options. One participant on our tour bought her lunch on site. She was finished eating before we received our food. The driver made a habit of running up on other vehicles and slamming on the breaks.

Trollstigen is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been, however the rest of the tour is mediocre - Pros: Trollstigen viewpoint is perhaps the most beautiful place I’ve been and we were allowed a full hour there which was needed. The Trollstigen road was closed which I wasn’t sad about as that looked pretty scary lol! The tour guide was friendly and informative, the trip was punctual and ensured we were back to the cruise ship on time. Cons: Many of the stops felt forced/due to lack of other options due to the Trollstigen road closure. I wish you’d found better alternatives or just shortened the tour/reduced the price. 2 main examples: 1. We stopped at a church on the way home which was “a plain white outside but stunning design inside” but the tour didn’t purchase tickets for us to go inside, so we basically spent 15 minutes to look at a tiny plain white church in a graveyard on the side of the road. 2. We stopped at a roadside cafe on the way home (around 4pm) with no other reason than for us to buy food from them. Felt like the cafe had paid for the tour company to visit as there was literally nothing else to do. You couldn’t use the toilet without buying anything…. The driver made me nervous. Repeatedly we saw him taking phone calls and eating whilst barrelling full speed around blind winding corners.

It is not worth the money and the time! - Our italian guide Silvia was super. But this was thr only thing pısitive about this excursion. We could not see the troll road because it was closed and this has not been informed to us while making the reservation on line. Eventhough it would be open this exursion is not worth to make so much km. If you have only one day as we had in Alesund , try to go to a tour including Geiranger fyord and not this one .
