Worked out fine for us - Hop on hop off bus was fine. Took us to the lookout spot. We saw the town. Was much cheaper than many of the cruise ship excursions.

Alesund hop on hop off - The sights offered were great especially the mountain top. The views were spectacular. The bus was comfortable and the information over the headphones was educational. Most important there were numerous buses running and the pick up times were on time. The QR code was great you could se where the buses were in real time and adjust your plans accordingly. I would use this service again.

A good way to see Alesund Norway - My wife and I took the Hop On Hop Off Sightseeing Bus in Alesund, Norway, as we were visiting the port by cruise ship. The bus route gave us an overall view of Alesund. Moreover we stopped at Aksla Viewpoint (Stop No. 3) saving us a difficult climb from the town below, as well as at The Art Nouveau Centre (Stop No. 6) where the views are very scenic.

Great highlights - Hit all the spots. Driver was great. No issues with audio. Can be lines at some popular spots. Can get full right after cruise comes into port.

Good experience with City Sightseeing Hop-on Hop-off - After reading some reviews, we were a bit concerned about how useful the hop-on hop-off would be. Fortunately, we were the only cruise ship in port so we had no problems getting the bus and getting off/on at several of the stops. I can imagine this would be a real problem if you happened to be there with more cruise ships - so check the port schedule beforehand. The buses were clean and prompt - the longest we waited was 15 minutes. The overall route is fairly short, but we thought it a reasonable way to get an overview of the town and were satisfied.

Perfect option to see Alesund in a short time - I would have rated this a 5, but there were 70+ people waiting to board from 3 cruise ships in town and it was a long wait in the wind. Once we boarded, the ride was comfortable and very informative. The windows were clean and the audio clear. The driver and onboarding manager were very friendly.

Don't Bother - Don't bother with this hop on off bus. Very overcrowded and long waits for buses Driver was extremely rude to the passengers screaming at them Earplugs were static and could hardly hear anything. I sent the company an email complaining and the didn't respond until I threatened to give them a negative review Refused to compensate us at all Not worth the money. . Terrible customer service

Horrible - Awful. Bus drivers were rude and unfriendly. Didn’t announce stops so we missed a stop we wanted to get off. We’re not consistent with where the buses picked up and drop off people were running up and down the sidewalk from one stop to the next because the drivers stopped in different places. I normally have good experiences with the hop on hop off buses but not in Alesund. Dont waste your money. Spring for a taxi

Waste of money - Similar to other reviews - don't waste your money. Marketed as £35 full day ticket - hop on and off when you like - sounds OK, but in actual fact they just stop running when they feel like it. We took the bus and had about 30 minutes, then back to the start (port). When we got off, I said to the woman who sold us the tickets that we had not covered half of the route advertised. She insisted we had, but when she asked the driver (Serge), he confirmed he had just cut it short. She asked why and he just shrugged his shoulders - clearly couldn't be bothered. She then told us we could have got back on, but it was about to finish (2pm) so we had missed our opportunity. In retrospect, we should have asked for a refund but I doubt very much we would have seen anything, given the effort they went to to sell us the tickets. Suggest you avoid this and either get a local bus or simply walk through the town, or up Aksla which is not as hard a walk as you'll be led to believe - but AVOID the hop on/off bust tour - waste of money!
