Great way to see an interesting city - Our guide was Daniel who is Canadian but has lived in Alesund for several years and speaks fluent Norwegian. It was a very wet day but we thoroughly enjoyed the tour walking firstly through the Marina and then up to a vantage point near the church. He was full of interesting information about this Art Nouveau city and we finished our tour at the foot of the steps to the Aksla viewpoint.

A nice and entertaining way to learn about Alesund - Our tour guide Daniel was very knowledgeable and gave us insight into the history of the city as well as the current events taking place. We were very pleased with the trip itself, as well as Daniel's communication prior to the trip about preparing for the rainy weather we might encounter. Highly recommended!

Worthy Walking Tour - We took the 9:00 am tour on a Saturday with Daniel. This is a good time to tour because it is before the many cruise ship tourists come into Alesund. Our guide was well prepared, knowledgeable, and very congenial. Highly recommend this walking tour.

Great tour! - Daniel was absolutely amazing. He showed us all around the city and we saw sights we never would have thought. He explained the city’s history and showed us the most amazing views. Our kids had a great time too and were able to do the walk just fine. Would definitely recommend!

Highly recommended tour guide - Daniel provided a lovely 2-hour tour of Ålesund, taking in the Art Nouveau architecture, town history, and local culture. It helped that it was a sunny day, so we were able to get great pictures. We had been in town for a few days already, but Daniel added much to what we had seen, and pointed us to things we had missed. He was very personable, communicating very well, and is a linguist with four languages. His tour is highly recommended.

Expert insight to Ålesund by a local guide - Daniel took us on a lovely walking tour of Ålesund. He was engaging and insightful, providing both architectural and historical knowledge. We saw parts of the city that we had previously missed, and learned more about what we had already seen. Daniel also provided background information about the culture of the region and Norway. He has local knowledge and helps visitors to understand how the Art Nouveau architecture came out of the disastrous fire of 1904. Daniel’s enthusiastic and articulate approach added to our 5-star experience.
