Almost perfect - We had a great tour. Due to snow on the final party of our journey, our tour was altered. Don't do this tour the last week of September. Apparently that's winter in Norway. I understand this was no one's fault but it was disappointing that we didn't make it to Trollstigen or get to travel all those hair pin turns. However Cian made the tour well worth it. He was full of fun facts and knowledge. We still saw many beautiful sights, more than I could have possibly seen on my own. And our driver Anika was a Puerto and made us feel very safe on the same narrow roads. Overall it was as close to perfect as could be.

Cancelled but informed - The trip was canceled due to snow blocking the highway. I applied for a refund. Just waiting to see if it is refunded. But the guides were very informative about the conditions and change of venue available.

Wonderful day - This was a great excursion, we didn’t drive down the Troll Rd bc of rock slide but the scenery was awesome, the stop at the visitor center was adequately timed and our guide, Cain did a terrific job making the day interesting, several stops along the way, back with over an hour to spare before cruise left.

Beautiful - We were disappointed that the road was closed due to show but had a nice time otherwise. Our bus broke down on the way back but the company quickly got another bus to take us. The views of the fjords and waterfalls on this trip were absolutely amazing.

Avoid this tour, at least until the Trollstigen highway is open. - After booking this tour, we read that the Trollsteigen highway had been closed and considered cancelling. A few days before the tour, we received an email from the tour operator urging us not to cancel because “you will still see all the sights and have a wonderful view of the road even if you’re not driving through it.” So, unfortunately we did not cancel. It was a rainy day as was forecast. We boarded the bus and began driving along the fjord to Trollsteigen. Approximately an hour into the tour the bus stopped at a small cafe that only had one toilet and a handwritten sign on the door in multiple languages informing us that the toilet was only available for customers that purchased something from the cafe. People began buying coffee or soda just to use the toilet. Most ignored the sign. A 10 minute stopped turned into a 30 minute delay. It was not a good place to stop with a bus load of tourists. Our next stop was at Gubrandsjuvet which was supposed to be a spectacular gorge, but it was not. As we approached the top of the highway where we were supposed to see the “wonderful view” the guide said due to the weather, she wasn’t sure how much of the highway we would actually be able to see. We finally arrived and walked to the viewpoint and we were unable to see any of the road and only a small portion of the waterfall because of the rain and clouds. On the way back to Alesund the bus stopped at a small ice cream store that wasn’t even open to allow passengers to stretch and use the single toilet. Some passengers walked down the road to a small grocery store to purchase snacks for the ride creating further delay. Six hours later, this unpleasant journey was finally over. We were very frustrated that we had wasted $285 and our only day in Alesund and saw nothing that justified the time or expense. Our trip did not even begin until noon and I’m certain many buses had reached the top of the road before ours departed. The operator could or should have known that the weather would obscure the view. Perhaps when the Trollsteigen highway reopens on a clear day, the trip would be worthwhile but until then, choose another activity.

Tour Not As Advertised - Great expectations for this tour. Advertised to visit the Trollstigen area, mountain road, waterfall of Stigefossen and Trollvegen (Troll Wall). It wasn't until about two thirds the way there that we were told the troll road was closed (had been most of the season) and that we would be returning the same way we came. 2-3 hours in each direction along the same road. Don't get me wrong, the scenery along the trip was amazing, but the main reason for the tour was the Troll road with its hairpin bends, the Stigefossen waterfall and steep cliffs of the Troll wall. All of which were advertised as part of the trip, but not notified of their closure until almost there. You can not sell something on the basis of seeing particular items, and then not even mention till you're almost on top of them, that you won't be going to see them. I will be requesting a full refund on this basis and do not recommend taking a tour like this if half the tour is unavailable.
