The Santa Maria di Leuca kayak trip is our most beatiful trip! It takes place along the last stretch of the ionian coast of Salento. It is suitable for those who have never gone kayaking. Included in the price is the SEA KAYAK COURSE FOR BEGINNERS guided by a 2nd level sea kayak instructor of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation. On the way we will show you hidden caves and ravines, all to be explored! After putting on the life jackets and entering our kayaks, we will be ready to sail south from Marina di Felloniche , alongside the splendid Ionian coast of Santa Maria di Leuca. We will enter many caves including: Dragon Cave, Lovers Cave, Three Doors Cave, Nativity Cave, River Cave. In the last one you will get off the kayaks for a short stop before going back to Marina di Felloniche.
- Bring watershoes (gym shoes as an alternative)
- Bring only not too big bags. I will keep non-bulky valuables such as cell phones and car keys while the small bag or backpack can be stored in the hatches of the kayaks or in the trunk of the trailer. Be careful because in the hatches the backpack could get damp or wet and the trunk of the trailer is not guarded.
- Not suitable for people weighing more than 100kg

Weather made it impossible but the customer service is top. - We booked this experience and were excited for it, but the weather didn't cooperate. The operators alerted us ahead of time and asked if we could reschedule. We rescheduled for a different itinerary in a different location on a different day, but again, the weather didn't work out. We did get to meet Marco and he was very chill. We let him know that we couldn't reschedule again as we were departing Puglia, and he submitted the refund request on our behalf, and the whole experience was super smooth. Unfortunate that we didn't get to hang out and kayak with what seemed like some awesome people, but their customer service and communication was solid.

A superb morning! - A REALLY excellent morning! We made the decision to drive just under 2hrs to experience the southern tip and we weren’t disappointed. The instruction given was brilliant with fluent English (perfect for us who, embarrassingly can’t speak Italian). We are a family of 4 (2 daughters aged 10yrs &7 yrs). We knew the girls wouldn’t do much in terms of helping to paddle. The first 3/4 of the excursion were amazing, stopping for several caves and paddling with the wind. The dip in the last cave was so lovely… we walked through a ‘secret cave’ which the girls loved.
We found the final 1/4 hard….paddling against the wind with two tired girls weighing us down. That being said, there was no pressure on us to rush and one of the instructors hung back to ensure we were ok at all times. It was the perfect length. We felt like we’d really accomplished a good morning out, but any longer and I’d have been wanting it to end😂. I would encourage anyone considering it to give it a go. A family holiday memory we shall treasure forever!

Unforgettable - It was a fantastic, unforgettable experience! Since I don't know how to swim, I was very scared but the instructor Marco, with his skill and a short lesson, gave me confidence in him and in the kayak and managed to make me enjoy this adventure to the fullest. And I wouldn't want to leave aside his adventure partner Lorenzo, always attentive, responsible and friendly

Great way to see the caves and coastline! - Very lovely tour of caves along the ocean by Marco. Marco was passionate about sea kayak and was very pleasant tour guide. Unfortunately, it was not safe to go into some of the caves due to the tide/sea, but we were still able to get very close (and closer than by boat).

An experience of a lifetime - A great experience.. Marco is a very friendly and fun guide.. this activity was very tiring ( because of the strong tide at the end of tour) but it was so worth it.
Marco made sure to give us a beginner’s course and he also made sure to stay behind to always make sure everyone is doing ok. Thank you Marco

Wonderful experience - Thank you so much Marco and Luca for the
awesome tour to the various marvelous caves. Our
little bunch of friends and family had no experience
in kayaking. And after this great excursion we'll look
out for places in our home country Switzerland,
where we can rent kayaks too. Most of all we were
impressed by your teaching skills and the access to
sites tourists in boats wouldn't be able to visit. What
an experience!

Exceptional & wonderful kayak tour - Everything was a blast! The kayaking, the instructions, the turquoise waters & beautiful caves… and discovering them very exclusively this way. Marco is also an excellent guide and brings a lot to the excursion with his teaching experience and humor. Perfect from A to Z! Kayaking in Leuca with Marco is really worth the trip!! Enjoy!!
