Lhasa - Guests will purchase their own designated flight and check in at Chengdu Airport after meeting with the group. The driver-guide will pick up guests at Lhasa Gongga Airport and then take a bus along the Lhasa River Scenic Belt to the city of Lhasa to experience the pure air of the plateau. Upon arrival in Lhasa, guests will be accommodated in a hotel booked by the travel agency. It is recommended to avoid going out and rest well to adapt to altitude sickness.
Tips: Lhasa is 3,650 meters above sea level, and the oxygen content is only 70% of that at sea level. Most guests will experience varying degrees of altitude sickness in the first two days. Maintaining a calm state of mind, drinking more water, eating more fruits, and getting adequate rest are the best ways to prevent altitude sickness.
Inside Lhasa: Freedom at Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street
Potala Palace - In the morning, visit the world’s highest ancient palace-style architectural complex, the Potala Palace, the residence of the Dalai Lama and the center of Tibetan political and religious power. It houses golden spiritual towers that store the authentic Dalai Lama. The murals, Thangka, and Buddha statues are a concentrated expression of Tibetan culture.
Jokhang Temple - After lunch, visit the Jokhang Temple, the earliest Buddhist temple built during the Tubo Kingdom. The temple is dedicated to the 12-year-old statue of Sakyamuni that accompanied Princess Wencheng into Tibet. It is the most sacred Buddha statue in the hearts of Tibetan people. Visitors can witness the piety of the people and pray for sentient beings around Barkhor Street with the locals.
Tips: When entering Tibet, remember to take off your hat, remove your sunglasses, and refrain from smoking, touching Buddha statues, turning books, or knocking on bells. For other Buddhist artifacts, such as beads and amulets, avoid touching them. Some temples do not allow photography, so please adhere to these regulations.
Barkhor Street - Barkhor Street is located in the center of the ancient city of Lhasa and is the street with the most complete preservation of its original appearance. It is a gathering place for Lhasa’s religion, economy, culture, national handicrafts, and Tibetan customs. It is also a must-see place for travelers to Lhasa.

Shigatse, Tingri, Everest Base Camp

Along the way, guests will climb the Gyatso Snow Mountain Pass at an altitude of 5,220 meters and continue the journey after a short stay.
Rongbuk Monastery - In the afternoon, arrive at the highest altitude Everest Nature Reserve in the world. Take the eco-car to reach Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5,200 meters. Here, guests will be in awe of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. If fortunate, they can see the Everest Qiyun floating like a fire of life.

Mt. Everest Base Camp - In the morning, at the top of the earth, facing the sun, looking up at Mount Everest, the peaks are covered with snow all year round, and the glacier hangs from afar. The silver peaks are towering and create a holy scene. Guests can feel the insignificance of life, the silence of man-made structures, and the purity of the universe. With nostalgia for Mount Everest, return to Shigatse in the afternoon through the magnificent Himalayan mountains.
