Tips: Lhasa is 3,650 meters above sea level, the oxygen content is only 70% of the mainland. For the first 2 days most guests will have different degrees of plateau reaction. The best way to prevent plateau reaction is to keep a normal attitude, drink enough water, eat some fruits and have good rest.

Yaowang Mountain of Lhasa - Yaowang Mountain means “mountain of the corner” in Tibetan, which refers to its location at the corner of the Red Mountain where the Potala Palace is located. At the end of the 17th century, in order to develop Tibetan medicine, Diba Sangye Gyatso built Menba Dratsang (medical institute) on Yaowang Mountain. He selected some lamas from various temples to study Tibetan medicine in the Dratsang. There is a statue of Medicine Buddha painted with sapphire in the Dratsang. Therefore, the Han people called this mountain “Yaowang Mountain”. This medical school existed until 1959 and was also called “Yaowang Mountain Lizhong Medical College”.
Lhasa—Yamdrok Lake—Observation Deck 1, 2, and 3—Lhasa
Yamdrok Yumtso Lake - In the morning, we depart from Lhasa and drive to one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet - Yamdrok Yonchoe, which is the highest freshwater lake in the world, with an altitude of 4,441 meters. Yamdrok Lake is the highest freshwater lake in the world, with an elevation of 4,441 meters above sea level. It is called “Jasper Lake” in Tibetan. After that, we will go down the mountain to get close to Yamdrok Yonchoe. The blue water of the lake and the snow-capped mountains in the distance, together with the colorful mountains on both sides of the lake, the distinctive Tibetan villages, and the cows and sheep everywhere, will make you feel calm and relaxed.
Downtown Lhasa: Potala palace—Jokhang Temple—Bharkor Street
Potala Palace - In the morning, you will visit the Potala Palace, the highest ancient fortress-like complex in the world. It is the residence of the Dalai Lamas and the center of political and religious power in Tibet. It houses the golden stupa of the Dalai Lamas and a large number of precious murals, thangkas and statues, which is a concentrated manifestation of Tibetan culture.
Jokhang Temple - After lunch, you can visit the earliest Buddhist temple built during the Tubo Dynasty—Jokhang Temple. The temple enshrines the twelve-year-old statue of Sakyamuni that accompanied Princess Wencheng into Tibet, which is the most sacred and spiritual statue in the hearts of the Tibetan people.
Barkhor Street - Visitors can not only see the devotion of the locals, but also pray for all living beings by circling around the Barkhor Street together.
Drop-off in Lhasa
Lhasa - The enjoyable trip to Tibet is over. Breakfast is provided at the hotel. We will send the guests to the airport or train station according to the way they return to their cozy home.
