• 762PPH5G+FM5 - We will begin our adventure with a short ride aboard one of our vehicles until we reach the starting point by the Blanco River. There our guide will give us a safety talk and we will head along the riverside enjoying the exuberant nature that this turquoise-colored river offers us. We continue our hike inside the river canyon going through volcanic caves and crossing some river strings until we reach the famous La Leona Waterfall, a magical place hidden inside of a cave. Once there we will have enough time to take pictures and swim in front of this natural wonder.

The visit to La Leona Waterfall is an unforgettable memory: a turquoise cascade inside of a narrow volcanic cave dug by the river over thousands of years. The hike along the river offers good chances to spot wildlife like white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, egrets, bats and the beautiful blue morpho butterfly. You will also admire ancient lava flows exposed by the erosion of the canyon walls. An adventure that you can´t miss if you visit the surroundings of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.
