• Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain - The Jade Dragon (Yulong) Snow Mountain is recognized as the southernmost snow-capped mountain in the Northern Hemisphere. As a must-visit attraction in Lijiang City, Yulong Snow Mountain consists of 13 peaks, with the tallest, Shanzidou, reaching 5,596 meters above sea level. The mountain range extends 35 kilometers from north to south and 15 kilometers from west to east. From Lijiang Old Town, the snow-covered and mist-enshrouded mountain resembles a giant jade dragon, which is why it is called “Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.”

Visitors can take the Glacier Park cableway to the summit of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Glacier Park is situated on Shanzidou Peak and features 19 oceanic glaciers, including hanging and cirque glaciers. The cableway to Glacier Park is one of the highest in Asia, measuring 2,914 meters in length with a vertical drop of 1,150 meters. After exiting the cableway, tourists can walk to the highest viewing platform on the mountain at 4,580 meters above sea level.
