Day 01: Welcome to Lima, City of Kings and the Larco Museum of Cultures
Lima - Begin an exclusive and immersive journey through Lima’s Historical Center, starting at the Convent of Santo Domingo, a key part of the city’s origins. Visit the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in the Americas, home to the country’s oldest choir stalls and a library with 25,000 books, including some from the 15th century. The remains of notable saints are also housed here. Continue to the Plaza Mayor, exploring the Government Palace, Municipality, and the Cathedral, a historical treasure of colonial Lima. The tour concludes at the Larco Museum, which displays ancient Peruvian cultures through gold artifacts, textiles, and ceramics, providing insight into Peru’s historical perspective.
Day 2: Cusco, Capital of the Inca Empire
Cusco - In the afternoon, enjoy an exclusive stroll through the city, starting with a visit to the Plaza de San Cristóbal (San Cristobal Square) for a panoramic view of the city. Afterwards, visit the San Pedro Market to experience local flavors and learn about the area’s products in this comprehensive market that supplies the entire city. Later, the Qorikancha Temple will greet us with its splendor and magnificence, with walls that were once covered in gold. From San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, walk down Hatun Rumiyoc Street, discovering the Inca Roca palace, now the Archbishop’s Palace, and take time to admire the world-famous Twelve Angled Stone. Continue to the Plaza de Armas to visit The Cathedral, which houses colonial works of incredible value.
Day 03: Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park
Cusco - In the morning, escape the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel with colossal constructions surrounded by beautiful landscapes in harmony with the environment. Then, proceed to the Inca shrine of Q’enqo, where the altar for sacrifices is embedded in the rock formation. Finally, arrive at the watchtower of Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, a monument of remarkable architectural excellence, considered a pillar of the Andean worldview. Enjoy a free afternoon for additional activities or to explore the streets of Cusco. The entrance passport, included in this tour, grants access to other points of interest not visited.
Day 04: Inca Village of Chinchero, Moray Terraces and Inca Village of Ollantaytambo
Sacred Valley of the Incas - Today, visit the most remarkable sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Depart to the village of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley, renowned for its women weavers. Make a brief stop at a textile center to appreciate the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. Visit the Inca square with its beautiful colonial church. Continue to Moray, a stunning Inca archaeological site with concentric agricultural terraces that served as a laboratory to recreate microclimates. Lunch. Proceed to visit the last living village of the Incas, Ollantaytambo. Visit the Temple of the Ten Windows, the baths of the ñusta, and the Temple of the Sun. The views from the heights of Ollantaytambo will conclude this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Overnight in the area.
Day 05: Machu Picchu, Lost Citadel
Machu Picchu - The eagerly anticipated day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Board at Ollantaytambo station. Depart by selected train. Arrive at Machu Picchu station. Receive assistance from our staff to board the bus that will ascend a winding road, offering a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and forming a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial precincts, and urban areas. Energy radiates from every corner. Lunch. At the coordinated time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
Day 6: Farewell
