Day 1: Welcome to Lima, City of Kings and the Larco Museum of Cultures

Day 1: Welcome to Lima, City of Kings and the Larco Museum of Cultures
Centro Historico de Lima - Upon arrival in Lima, receive a warm welcome and assistance with your hotel transfer. In the afternoon (14:00 hrs), embark on an exclusive and immersive tour of Lima’s Historical Center, where you will explore and admire the architectural treasures of old Lima, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The tour begins at the Convent of Santo Domingo, built during Lima’s founding. This site is home to the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, the oldest university in America. Inside, discover the choir with the country’s oldest stalls and a library housing 25,000 books, some printed in the 15th century, of immense historical value. The remains of San MartÃn de Porres, San Juan MasÃas, and Santa Rosa de Lima are also here. Crossing the Plaza Mayor, visit the Government Palace, the Municipality, and the Cathedral, a historical gem filled with artworks that bring colonial Lima to life.
Museo Larco - Departing downtown Lima, head to the Larco Museum, where you will gain insight into the cultures of ancient Peru. Admire the gold pieces, textiles, and erotic ceramics in the collection, offering a glimpse into the ancient Peruvian worldview. The museum’s warehouse will be open for our visit, allowing us to appreciate the artistic expressions captured in their ceramics.
Day 2: Destinations, Empire of the Senses
Peru - Enjoy a free day to choose activities that connect your senses with your spirit. Select and reserve one of the specially designed activities:
Caral, Ancient City: Visit the 5,000-year-old Caral, explore its ancient structures, and enjoy a local lunch before returning to Lima.
Paracas, Huacachina, and Pisco: Start early to visit Ballestas Islands, experience dune buggies in Huacachina, taste pisco, and have lunch before returning to Lima.
Islands of Lima and Callao: Explore the marine life and historical sites of Lima’s coastal islands, including San Lorenzo Island and the Real Felipe fortress.
Paracas and Nasca Lines: See Ballestas Islands and fly over the Nasca Lines (on select days). Enjoy a marine lunch before returning to Lima.
Day 3: Cusco, Capital of the Empire
Cusco - In the afternoon, enjoy an exclusive city tour starting at Plaza de San Cristóbal (San Cristobal Square) for a panoramic view of the city. Next, visit the San Pedro Market to experience local flavors and learn about regional products in this bustling market that supplies the entire city. Later, the Qorikancha Temple welcomes you with its splendor and magnificence, featuring walls that were once covered in gold. From San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, stroll down Hatun Rumiyoc Street, passing the Inca Roca palace, now the Archbishop’s Palace, and take time to admire the renowned Twelve Angled Stone. Continue to Plaza de Armas to visit The Cathedral, which houses colonial works of incredible value.
Day 4: Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuaman
Sacsayhuaman - In the morning, escape the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel with colossal constructions harmoniously integrated into the surrounding landscape. Continue to the Inca sanctuary of Q’enqo, featuring a surprising altar for sacrifices carved into its rocky formation. Finally, visit the Puca Pucará lookout and Tambomachay, a monument of remarkable architectural excellence considered a pillar of the Andean worldview. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the city.
Day 5: Inca Village of Chinchero, Terraces of Moray, and the Inca Village of Ollantaytambo
Chinchero - Today, explore the most remarkable sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Depart for the Village of Chinchero, the most traditional and colorful village in the Sacred Valley, renowned for its weaving women. Make a brief stop at the textile center to appreciate ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning alpaca wool. After visiting the Inca plaza with its beautiful colonial church.
Moray - Continue to Moray, a stunning Inca archaeological site featuring concentric agricultural terraces used as a laboratory to recreate microclimates.
Ollantaytambo - Later, visit the last living village of the Incas, Ollantaytambo. Also, explore the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Bath of the Princess, and the Sun Temple. Capture postcard-worthy photos from the heights of Ollantaytambo to conclude this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Day 6: Machu Picchu, the Lost City
Machu Picchu - The eagerly anticipated day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Board the train at Ollantaytambo station. Depart on the selected train. Arrive at the Machu Picchu station. Receive assistance from our staff to board the bus ascending a winding road with spectacular views of the Urubamba River, which forms a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, welcomes you with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites, and urban areas. The entire place exudes energy. Enjoy lunch. At the coordinated time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco. Lodging.
Day 7: Cusco at Your Pace
Cusco - Free day. Cusco offers a variety of cultural, archaeological, and adventure-oriented activities. Reserve activities in advance. Recommended options include Vinicunca, Rainbow Mountain, or kayaking in Huaypo Lake.
Day 8: Farewell
Cusco - Transfer to the airport. Depart for Lima to connect with your return flight home.
